How to change a heater core on 2008 Chevrolet Impala

This is a BIG job involving discharging the a/c system and removing the entire dash assembly. If you think you want to do this, I strongly recommend purchasing a service manual from the manufacturer, or at least a Haynes/Chilton manual from your local auto parts store for guidance. I'll attach a link to a YouTube video showing the process for a similar car (Buick Lucerne). The exact steps won't be the same, but you'll get an idea of what you're in for.

How do i check to see if the fans are working right on 2006 impala 3.9 eng. car running hot

Check your engine oil to see if there is water bubbles on the dip stick, is so you may have bad head gasket.or it could be the heater core but I doubt it.

Im working on a 2006 chevy impala replacing the heater core and i cant get the heat steaks off......all the manual says is that i need to use a chisle......but do i cut them off and if so what do...

I would drill them dimples by the heat stakes out and install heater core cover screws. Both inside the heater core cover and the heater air outlet cover. use a 7/32" or a 5.5mm bit.
