Probably an 02 (oxygen) sensor or maybe a vacuum problem as simple tightening your gas cap. There are two 2 sensors in most cars so you have to figure out which one it is, or bring it to the service station. You can't pass inspection in most states with the "check engine" light on.

There is hand-held tool called "CAR-MD" that will tell you which O2 censor is faulty and a Chilton car repair manual will show you where it is and how to replace it.

Some sensors need special tools to remove and re-install. Either way you pay.

Check engine light '95 Honda Accord 2.2 5 spd. AutoZone says they can't plug into a 95. Must be 96 or newer. After new clutch was installed the speedo didn't work. The VSS was unplugged and the check...

ottozone cant help? WOW. You will be better off staying away from them and their **** parts. Under the hood find the fuse box. Find the fuse marked BACK UP 7.5 amps. Remove that fuse for 1 minute and then reinstall it. That should clear out the trouble code.

How can i fix the speedometer for my car Honda accord 96 model

This model year Honda Accord had a lot of issues with the speedometer head itself.
As a new or rebuilt speedometer is rather expensive I have been replacing these with one from an auto recycler/wrecking yard.
Get the whole instrument panel as it is a lot easier, just a matter of removing the defective unit and installing the replacement assembly.
There is a possibility that the speed sensor may be defective but that will generally turn on the check engine light.

96 Honda Accord D (Drive) light is flashing!

Try checking transmission oil, top it off or have it changed. If still not fixed go to autozone or similar and have them hook it up to a machine that will diagnose problems to make sure it isn't just a faulty sensor or something. It is transmission related so don't just let it go.

is it a vtec if so check oil level as if gets low causes problems with the variable valve timing due to low oil pressure which causes poor performance and brings on mil light.
