Just bought a 93 lesabre, ok for a few days then i put gas in and
the engine light keeps going off and on,when stopped at light car
tries to rev up and move,I don't drive far enough for it to be over heating
even though I'm in Las vegas, could it just be the gas?

If there is no "Check Engine" light try a bottle of good injector cleaner in your gas, or cleaning the throat of your throttle body with a good spray cleaner. If the "Check Engine" light comes on then put it on a code scanner and that will point you in the right direction.
What you need to do is have the code checked for the service engine soon light. This will help in diagnosing what could be causing the vehicle to stop dead.By this I am assuming you mean it will stall.Auto Zone and some other parts stores will check the code for you for free. But the diagnosing will still need to be done to see what is causing the light to come on and make the car stall.Sometimes you may need a scan tool and a multi meter to help find the problem.Which means you may have to go to a repair shop.Hope this has helped you.Good luck.
replaced the oil and re set computer to fresh oil change
thes older models will only go aproxamitly 5000k on oil change
it may not have been reset at last oil change
key on run motor off depressed gas pedal to floor 3 times within 5 seconds of key on run
then start motor to re set oil life system
You might be mistaken about the check engine light. I have done all the oil changes on my wife's 2003 XL7 and never once have I had to reset anything. If you mean the SERVICE ENGINE SOON lamp, that means the computer detected a problem with the emission control (or someone didn't put the gas cap back on correctly during the last trip to the gas station). Check the gas cap 1st, just take it off and put it back on, making sure to give it a few "clicks" past the stop. If after a few days the light doesn't go out head over to a suzuki dealership and have your ECS checked out.
did you clean the idle speed control air bypass valve?, u do this by spraying carb spray into the intake while the engine is held at hi idle so it won't stall, use up about half the can, then shut down and disconnect battery for 5 minutes to reset system idle learn, drive the car for a few days and let me know if the problem is fixed.
the rattling sounds like its the hydrolic lifters (tappets or cam followers called also) not really a hard job just a pain cause you've to strip the engine to pieces to do. Its very time consuming so unless you've some experience i'd place this in the hands of an experienced mechanic. This should also stop the smoke problem.
The engine service light is on a timer from service to service so thats nothing to do with it.
The cd player your right about it just need the lazer llens cleaned. You can buy a cd cleaner kit for cheap in any music/record store.
Hope this helps if not let me know and I'll try and find the solution
I have just had the same problem this morning for the first time and I suspect it is just bad gas. We have had problems with the check engine light in our camaro whenever we bought hi test at the Mobile gas station closest to our home. I would not be surprised if this same gas station is now having water problems with their regular gas which is what we put in our 4runner. Try STP gas treatment first, which is what I am going to do now. When I used this approach with my camaro, the light went out within a few days. Technically, a sensor might have been damaged, but my thinking is that if that sensor is dead, then my fuel/air mixture will get bad enough to notice pretty quick. The TRAC off and VSC off are just extra lights that go on, whenever the check engine light comes on. I'll let you know how it goes.
