It is easy u either got a relay problem or the coolant temperature fan switch! Look in the engine side MAiN FUSE BOX, there is this relay that have a MARK says "Rad Fan" pull it out and insert it again, if ur heard a "clicking" sound no problem w/ the relay(do this when the ignition is on the run/On position)! The Temperature switch usually in the radiator, disconnect the TERMiNAL connector, if the FAN turns OFF, that means the temp switch needs to be replace! Hope that helps u out! taah!

1995 Lt1 Camaro cooling fans operate like this; Cooling fans (2 fans) come on 30 seconds after start up on high, stay on while driving, and turn off when brakes are applied. Stock car, no mods.

Did you have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ? The cooling fans are controlled by the PCM - engine computer , with the use of three relays ,located in the under hood electrical center . Do you know how to do electrical testing ?
Relay Driven Dual Cooling Fan Diagnostics Looking at wiring diagrams i don't see any connection between the brakes an cooling fans . Checking for DTC'S an doing electrical testing of control circuits from the PCM , Power circuits from the fuse / relay box . Checking grounds an pulling relays ,check for corrosion .

I'm in need of the engine bay wiring diagram for a 1980 Honda Prelude, specifically for the cooling system/thermo-fan.

Try jumping the green cooling fan switch with a wire and see if it turns on while the car is on, if it does then it's probably your module.

Wiring for cooling system ford escort zetec 1996 1.6i

Wiring for cooling system ? You mean cooling fans ? 1.6 ? This vehicle has 1.8 L or 1.9 L . This cooling system has two electric cooling fans . Three relays , cooling fan power relay , cooling fan hi speed relay an the low speed cooling fan relay. The powertrain control module controls these relays. How to rewire the fan relay connector

Not exactly sure as to wich fan relay you are talking about (cooling fan or the relay for the blower motor for the air conditioning) Kind of took a guess and went with the engine cooling fan relay. Below is a wiring diagram for that relay. If you need the other relay, a larger wiring diagram as this was the largest I could post on here or if you need pictures of the connectors as well. You can email me directly at csautomotivecars@att.net and I will be happy to email what you need back. Hope this helps....

Wiring diagram 1996 ford thunderbird V8

its in a 3 connection waterproof harness now ??????? Do you mean a 3 wire connector ? Three wire's - one black -ground , one is dark blue an the last is brown with a orange trace . He replaced the fan an it didn't fix the problem , imagine that ! Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html
Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size. Under system click on engine ,then under subsystem click on cooling fan . Click the search button then the blue link. First diagram is for the cooling fan . You will see to relay's inside the CCRM - constant control relay module . Knowing ford and this part ,i would venture a guess that it was bad . Test B+ power and ground for the CCRM ,if good ,replace it .

Cooling fan is not coming on at all how do i wire it up to come on when car is started and stops when car is turned off

Here is a wiring diagram of how you should by-pass that cooling fan by using a toggle switch, and you can get a fuse holder and use a 30 amp fuse instead of a 30 amp circuit breaker, but you should use the circuit breaker since you are no longer using a relay, and if there is a voltage spike the circuit breaker will reset itself, and a fuse will blow out and you will have to change it. Most auto parts stores will carry the 30 amp toggle switch and circuit breaker, also be sure to use 10 ga. wire and do not forget the wire connectors that you will need to attach the wires to the toggle switch, the circuit breaker, and to the battery as well as the connection to the cooling fan wires.

This wiring diagram is very basic and you should be able to follow it with little difficulty, and you should also dis-connect the cooling fan at the wiring connector to the cooling fan and connect the by-pass wiring directly to the cooling fan motor so that you do not run voltage back through the stock system. Let me know if you require further assistance.

Cooling fan inop

the cooling fan is a one speed motor. operates only with key on.
The integrated control module (ICM) and the engine computer control the fan.
on at 102 degree C (@ 230 F), off at 99 degrees C (@ 230 F).
You have 3 fusible links, 2 18 gage brown and on 20 gage dark blue providing power to the ICM. You should ahve 12 volts the pink/black wire, the black/orange wire and the yellow wire going into the ICM.

First, jumper 12 volts from the battery directly to the terminal on the motor where the dark blue wire goes. Make sure the black wire is grounded. If the fan works, check the items above.

I can sell you this Ford wiring diagram book for a 91 Mustang for $10 if you are interested.
please rate as solved if this helps you, thanks.
