With an ohm meter check if the wires going to the relay have power when they should. next use a jumper wire from the pos. battery terminal to the power connector on the fan if the fan starts to run off the jumper then its probably the relay to blame. hope this helps.

Trying to find coolant fan fuse for 1996 jeep cherokee sport

cooling fan fuse should be third up from bottom on right on cabin fuse block. there may be another in power distribution center under the hood. Not sure if you mean radiator fan. to check, first hot-wire fan to battery. if it runs check fuse and relay. Radiator fan operates like this: coolant sensor sends signal to computer that sends ground signal to fan relay that then completes power circuit to fan. Difference in cabin fan is that the dash control sends signal to relay, then to resistor bloc, to fan motor. All electrical components require power and a good ground to operate properly.

Hi i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee the problem is the elec fan dose not turn on where is the sensor the turn on the fan. the fuels are ok.

This is controlled by a relay module .The location is under the passenger head assembly.Dumb location i know but that is were it is at.There is also problems with the fan assembly it self .Test for power on the red wire at the fan with the ac on this will make the computer tell the relay to start the fan. The relay module is not easy to get at :( i hope this helps .

I have a 99 jeep cherokee sport will not start

Seems to be a chronic problem with crank position sensors... On yours it is tested between b&c terminals and should have no continuity there. (should show an open circuit if good)
