If the radio was the original, I would contact a Honda dealer with the VIN in hand and tell them the problem.
Somewhere in their system, your VIN and that code are tied together, otherwise it would have never worked when new either.

Disconnected battery on my 2004 Saturn Ion to replace the starter and activated the radio theft deterrent feature. Pressed radio button 1 and 2 and the code 2566 appeared. I called my local GM dealer and...

Unfortunatly, unless you have it written down in the owners manual that's where you have to go. I think a personal appearance might help your cause. But GM charges unless you go dirrctly to parts and ask for the manager.

I have a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo LS. I had problems with the security system not letting my car start and took it to several chevy dealers before they realized it was codes that needed to be deleted. :( ...

I am not 100 percent on this because I am not a radio guy but each radio from GM has a code number input to the computer or sirrus radio (thief protection)so they can turn it on remotely and the ecm is not recognizing the new radio. If you have a scanner read the codes or reset them. You maybe able to change the code with a scanner I am just not sure. Hope this helps some.

2001 mitsubishi eclipse radio says code just had work done and they disconnected the battery. I don't have the code is there any way to get the code without paying mitsubishi?

Google it. You should be able to find the code for it on Google. Type this: 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse Radio Codes and hit ENTER. Do not click on the buttons under the seach bar - this will provide better results.

I need the unlock code for a 01 oldsmobile alero raido.

These damn things always ask for the unlock code when you change out the battery.  Its a pain in the as. Call the manufacturer and give them your VIN and year and they should be able to give you a generic # to use, but sometimes they want you to pull the radio and give them the #s off of the back of the radio.

Prelude manual trans markings

U are right about the fact u got taken, it may be that the cross reference the seller used was incorrect, but in any event make him take it back and refund shipping as well or have him send the correct trans with a pre paid freight return label to ship th old one back. did u pay with paypal? if so file a dispute with them. I recently bought a set of wheels and tires, they where not as described, I filed a complaint with paypal and the seller bent over backwards to make it Right.

Radio/cd player 2001 honda prelude shows "error."

Look in your owner manuel for a radio code, should be a 5 diget code. If you try to put wrong numbers in the stereo more than three or four times the radio will lock up. If you can't find the code call the dealer with the vin# and they should be able to tell you over thier computer. Another way to find the code is hold number 1 and 6 at the same time for 10 seconds and it will bring up a code that you will have to right down, that code will get your password for your stereo when you call the Honda Dealer. If your stereo does lock up just take your battery cables off and hold the red and black one together for 30 seconds and this will reset your radio.

Radio code for honda prelude

The code should be on top of your radio, the only thing you got to do is remove the plastic that goes around the AC controls and stereo. You can either unscrew the radio it self or the AC controls. I have done this a few times just because I misplace the code and of course I have to remove the battery cable to perform certain jobs.
