With a carby the problem will occur because the engine is trying to work when you place it in drive and go nowhere ( same as putting a brake on the crankshaft). Use more choke or set the auto choke to run slightly faster. IE close the throttle butterfly more to increase engine speed. It all has to do with the fuel trying to evaporate in the carby and icing up the working bits and you need extra fuel to overcome this problem for a short term

Hot cold meter problems

One thing you are not driving far enough to warm the engine up. As far as running it ten minutes when cold you are not making the motor warm up as well It has to work to warm up.. They say it is a waste of money to run your car more than two or three minutes as newer cars are made to get in and drive right away when cold. I am wondering if your thermostat is working properly as well.

A/C on my 2000 s70 blows cold when working then just cuts off. If I turn A/C off and back on in about 10 min it works again for a limited amount of time

Possibly expension valve , if a/c comes on only for couple of minuts and then shuts off , and then works the same way after 10 min.
