SOURCE: how do i change fuel filter on a ford laser kj iii

It is a clear plastic container like a small pill bottle on the fuel line. You just need to unclamp the old one and clamp the new one in place, making sure you fit it excatly the same as way as the old one. It should have an arrow on it.

SOURCE: oil filter in civic 97

If you go to a reputable motor factor,
you can only be sold the correct filter for the civic.
As there are soo many variables in engine type, it's almost impossible to tell, oil volume, or which type filter.
However, I will say, be sure that you don't mix semi-synthetic oil, and mineral oil.
Oil changes should be undertaken every 30,000 miles, (unless under extra work load, (in which case, slightly more regularly))

Otherwise, 10/40 or 15/40 grade oil, is perfectly fine.
The trick to not overfilling the oil, is simply just to take your time, clean the dip stick and retry, until you have the correct reading.

Please don't forget to rate:)

SOURCE: I need instructions on how to change timing belt

it basically the same with the other engines...as long as you know what parts to remove. Just make sure that before you remove the belt/s and tensioner/, the timing marks are in the right place. I have changed timing belts without instructions...experience is needed though. I suggest better get a service manual to be sure if this is your first time.

SOURCE: 97 F350 diesel check engine light stays on and is running rough?

Ok, lets take this from the top. I have a 97 f250 diesel. In mid may mine did the same thing. It's either one of two things. You have under valve cover harnesses (uvc). They slide in under your valve covers, you will see two wiring harnesses on the outside of the valve cover gaskets on either side of the block. Ok, it IS possible one of these slipped out of place and killed two of your injectors, causing the horrible running/ low idle/no power/ sounds like the truck is going to stall symptoms. The easiest way to check that is to unplug the wires while the truck is running and see if it kills the engine, if it doesen't unplug the other one on the same side of the valve cover. If both of these don't cause any change then you have a bigger problem, the IDM (Injector drive module).

FAIR WARNING: When you unplug the wires with the truck on it is extremely dangerous, it is 110 volt feed. It can kill you.

OK, the IDM is a silver box, 8"x10" approx dimensions, located on the driver side under the hood, over top the front tire. If you take the wires you unplugged and take a multi meter to them and they are dead, you have a bad IDM. This was the case with my truck. Ford designed the IDM to have a hole in the side to allow condensation to escape from it, unfortunately, this allows water inside and will short out resistors and practically kill half of your engine. Buy a new IDM on ebay for about $380. It takes 5 minuts to put it in.

I hope this helps you out man.

I have a 1996 ford Taurus 24valve V6 oil is reading full..but oil light keeps coming on and has a slight knocking sound..don't know where to start

First off, when did you last change the oil? Did you change the filter?
Sounds like an oil pressure drop,or a serious engine problem.
If the oil could stand changing,go with a heavier viscosity, like 10W30 or 10W40 if necessary.
ALWAYS change the filter when the oil is changed. don-ohio (:^)

Ford laser kj 1600 1997

This is way too general a question. For instance, did the fuel consumption change? Or was it always like that? Almost anything imaginable can affect fuel economy. Do some more digging, or take it to a professional who can run diagnostics on the engine. Sometimes that is the only way some things can be found. You also did not offer any mention of the manner in which the car is driven. You also did not mention HOW the car drives, irrespective of fuel economy. You have asked a question that is impossible to answer.

My 1998 KJ Ford Laser drives fine but after you drive approx 15km's it starts to lose power badly

If this happens each time you drive it, check the fuel filter. It may be almost clogged and slow the fuel delivery. A other place to look would be the spark plug and coil wires. ( not sure what type to system your Laser would have.) The resistance in the Laser's plug and coil wires can increase as it warms up when it is driven. If the wires are over 5 years old they should be replaced.

Ford taurus engine oil light

In Australia, the oil pressure sender switches, depending on the car, cost as little as $15AU. Also depending on the car, they can be relatively easy to change, if you can get access. So even if a mechanic were to change it, I wouldn't think they would charge more than 30 mins of labour.
