If you are having problems starting the vehicle and you are 100% positive it is the starter then it will have to be replaced.Once upon a time you could actually take one apart and fix it but those days are long gone.If you want to try it yourself its not that hard if you're handy .If not take it in and have it done.I hope this has helped ,if not I will attempt to answer any follow up questions you might have.Good luck

97 Chrysler Concorde won't start, fresh battery just clicks then battery is dead again

If a simple attempt at starting results in a click and a dead battery, then you have a dead short in the starter motor circuit. Anything else would have set fire to the engine compartment.

97 chrysler concord. wont turn over, has nothing to do with battery, ran fine stopped at store, did not turn over afterward, all lights worked. Next morning started right up, started the next 10 times,...

When it won't start I'm guessing you can not hear the starter turning the engine over. If so when it is acting up it should be pretty easy to see if there is power on the small wire at the starter with the key in the crank position. If there is power there and there is power on the larger wire at the starter, again with the key in the crank position, than the starter is the issue. These are also known to have corrosion issues at the connections on the battery. It wouldn't hurt to give those a peak or even clean up those connections.

What other chrysler engines can you use on a 1997 Chrysler Concorde found an engine on ebay want to know if I can use it. Blown head gaskets on mine.

U don't scrap an engine for blown head gaskets, it is not that big a job if this is a 3.5 liter, and any 3.5 will work.

1998 Chrysler Concorde 3.2L Intermittent starting problem. Can hear the starter solenoid kick but will not turn over. The starter, battery and cables have been replaced. After replacing the battery today...

Thoroughly check the battery to chassis to engine ground system is properly connected and in good order.
Check/replace any solenoid control relay if fitted -(slave relay interfacing between ignition start sw and starter motor engage solenoid).
Check condition and connections of any fusible link (or in line Maxifuse).
