Tire pressure warning will not go off

It will vary by system. It will also trigger if spare tire is low too.

The units have a limited life expectancy on the battery, and if you did not have new sensors installed or new batteries recently, one or more of the batteries may be dead.

How much should I expect to pay for tire sensor to be replaced? tire sensor keeps saying bad or missing.

If the whole sensor is the problem and it is only one, the part alone runs about 40-50$. Should only be about a half hour worth of labor so it should be in the 70-80$ area.
thank you,

2003 Pontiac Grand AM.... When driving I keep getting a loud "humming/vibrating" sound from Front left tire. Tire treads are okay, need new tires soon, but I've been told possibly the wheel...

Wheel bearings are sealed on this particular GM vehicle. First thing to try is to place the front tires on the back of the vehicle and see if the sound changes. If the sound still comes from the front, have the wheel bearing checked at your local service center. Expect to pay between $200-250 to replace. If you decide to do it yourself, you can find the part for $60 at places like

Wheel bearings will generally last around 200K miles before they begin to show signs of failure. If you hit a curb on that side recently, that could cause a premature failure.

Pay the money and get it fixed properly.
Expect that and more,to happen on all of todays high tech vehicles,at least once a year or more. Get used to it. Stay in the service bay and get an education, while they repair your issues.

The battery light has just come on for my 2001 vw golf. what does this mean? how do i know if it's the alternator, battery or something else? and how much should a new battery or alternator cost. FYI this...

When the light comes on, it is a signal that you are using more electricity than is being produced, below some threshold. If it continues to stay on when you rev the engine, it is probably your alternator. A 9 year old vehicle is a candidate for an alternator replacement, and probably a battery replacement, though you may not need a battery right now. Expect to pay $150.00 or more for the alternator if you are doing the work. Expect to replace your battery for around $125.00 if you are doing the work. I would expect a shop would do this work for about $375.00 depending on where you are located. If you are doing the work, expect to spend 3 hours on this job if you have the right tools, including bandaids.

Tire arms wore out 2 sets of tires in two years

Unfortunately that's the way of the beast, they keep it that way to offset the cost of their warranty work. I'm sure if you raise a big enough stink with the head salesperson you'll get a discount or a oil change coupon but don't expect much from the dealerships because they are there to make money
