This problem needs a little more detail. What kind of Trans and motor do you have and what do you want to know about this?

Are you looking for parts or are you already in Service?

1989 Ford Crown Victoria wont go into reverse and drives in nuetral???

Sounds like your linkage slipped out of sequence. On your transmission there is a place where you can manually shift your tansmission through the gears. When you move the selector on the trani it should move the shifter as well. All the way up on selector should be park, then R,N,D so on. If you move the selector all the way up at your shifter reads something else, you need to adjust the linkage and put car in park with selector on trani in park and tighten linkage back up. Run through all the gears and you should be good.

2009 hyundai sonata stuck in gear

If there is no way in which the lever can come out even after you start and run the engine and engage the clutch, then it is a fault within the gear box as a possible gear must have jammed with a worn out selector. It will be necessary to remove the tansmission and check for fault if there is no jamming of the gear levers mechanically. Use extra leverage to try and move the gear linkage and if this seems too hard do not attempt.
You need to be equipped to remove and check this out or take consensus.

How do I buy a used tansmission from a junkyard?

Buying a used transmission can be a tough choic.
You want to get one with a warranty and also covers the labor to replace the used transmission if it does go out.
I would start with your phone book call the local salvage yards see what they have to offer to you. Then do a Goggle search on the transmission to see what is out there nationaly for a used one.
Also there is other rebuilders who might do a better warranty for you.
Let me know if i can help more!

The tansmission will change out the first time but when it get ready to change out the second time it will not like it slips out of gear then when i get off the gas it will kick back in first gear

check propper fluid specs, replace filter inside pan, make sure you have dex 3 or greater compatible fluid, make sure fluid is not burnt, some times when you flush the system, the internal bands have deposits that stick to them allowing them not to slip. when running a flush these deposits can rub off meaning extensive wear on your bands, easy solution, don't bag drive your ****

I need to replace the clutch in my s4 convertible 2004 where do you start to strip her down and how long should it take

This is a complex question. I'm not familiar with the s4. Is it front wheel drive or rear wheel? do you have access to a hoist or is this an on the ground project? An experienced shop could have this done in a day... provided they have a hoist open. I would imagine if this is your first time it's going to be a couple of days. If this is front wheel drive most of them have a subframe that comes off first, it's going to be a real pain if you don't have a hoist and a transmission jack. Can it be done on the floor, you bet, but I wouldn't do it and I've put in hundreds of transmissions.
