Question about 1992 Geo Prizm
I know of no such "Plastic" part that is causing this for sure, most likely you have an internal hydraulic pressure fluid leak, you need to have a transmission shop diagnose the problem before any parts are replaced, transmission diagnosis is done by highly trained transmission specialists, guessing is not the way things get repaired, most transmission shops will diagnose this problem for free in hopes they will get the job of fixing it.
