First buy the Haynes repair manual from Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. There are a few things that need to be removed - like ignition coils, etc - and the $25 book is well worth the expense. If you have the 5.0 v8, I can tell you to take your time because it's going to be a while. Pay particular attention when removing and replacing the rear bolts because space is limited and visibility is poor. Also, have an assortment of socket and extention lengths. This job was a real PITA.

You had the truck aligned after you

If possible, and it should not be,
are the hoses reversed on rack ?

How do i take off the fuel hose pinch clamps off a ford explorer 1996

There's a tool for it. (a set cost about $10.00 for the plastic ones). Fuel line and A/C disconnect tool. It slides in on the open end where the spring is inside and releases the line so you can pull it out.

1996 Ford Explorer XLT abs light comes on on

The ABS light is for the Anti-lock Braking System. The MIL will illuminate if there is a difference in wheel speed sensors signals to the PCM. So you might have a wheel speed sensor that is going out on you. Does the light come on at low speeds, or just higway speeds? You could take the vehicle to a local parts store and have them pull the codes for you and that will tell you which speed sensor is out of whack. Also road grime, dirt and gunk buildup can cause speed sensors to give false readings. Hope tihs helps you out.......

Locked keys inside 1996 ford explorer. Help!!

Do you have the external keypad? If not, find someone with a slim jim. Slide it between the glass and door, hook the latch lever inside the door, and pull up. I don't remember if Ford put the steel bar in the door in 1996 to block access to the latch. One warning, you may break the locking mechanism using this method.
