If you are confirmed that battery is charged and battery is connected properly. Then the other possibility for this problem is faulty starter.the started gets power from battery,But if your battery is connected properly and battery is properly charged then it is giving power to starter, but because starter is faulty,so its not letting the car to start and just a click sound you can hear. But still i advise to get the battery checked and confirm its connection.if all checked ok then you can go with starter checking. Its a 12 volt part.Check for 12 volt to the starter. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Turn key just a clicking noise. Lights come on. Check engine light on

A weak battery will make the lights come on & energize the solenoid for the starter, but the battery is too weak to make the starter motor turn. Checking the battery would be first, the solenoid second.

Will not start, battery is new, it just clicks and nothing. turn it off, try again and nothing, try again and it starts

Try cleaning and tightening well the battery connections along with the battery wires to the solenoid and starter motor.

Bad connections and low voltage of 12 volts can result in this anomaly.

1997 f350 with 460 just clicks when trying to start

If you are getting a single loud "click" when turning the key to the START position, you most likely need to replace your starter. If you are getting a rapid "click-click-click" when you turn the key, you probably have a low battery or a bad battery cable.

I have a 2001 saturn L100 sedan Battery is new and fully scharged. when key is turned on all lights and electronics flicker and the starter clicks. first appears to be battery because of the flickering...

Hello, It sounds like you have loose battery cables or very corroded cables. If that don't help then you have a loose electrical connection. It could be on the starter, If the cable ends and bolts are corroded the clean with baking soda mixed with water (don't) get any in the battery, You can clean the battery where the cables connect) Hope this helps.

When you turn the key over it is not starting, it

If its just one click each time you hit the key, may be starter. I would check to make sure the battery is not dead or bad. If it is a bunch of clicks at once, its probably a dead battery. But why is it dead? Possible- Old battery, left lights or power on, maybe didnt close door all the way, or alternator going bad and not charging battery. Try to jump it or charge/replace battery.

Turn the key and get one click.battery is

Bad starter and/or starter wires leading from battery. Also could be a fuse and/or relay. Have your starter tested at a parts dealer.

When you turn the key you hear a click, click click and then nothing

The click, click, click you are hearing when you turn your key is the starter solinoid attempting to engauge but because the battery is dead it will not engauge. Charge the battery then start the car and check the voltage to the battery. It should be between 13.5 vdc and 14.5 vdc. If it is not, the alternator is bad. If the voltage is between the above mentioned values and the battery goes dead again it is a bad battery.

if the clicking is repeated with out you releasing the key then the battry is in need of charging or replacing, if its a one click each time then the starter motor is faulty.
