Question about 1998 Toyota Tacoma
Double check the connections at the battery to ensure that they are shiny and clean after vigorously wire brushing the contact points, with both - and + connections removed from the battery.
Always remove the negative first and install that the last.
Bad connections are the #1 reason a car won't operate lights, or even start.
Good luck on this repair.
