Question about Audi A4
No there is one heating unit that has a flap that is controlled by the passenger side vs. driver side cooler or hotter knob or setting, if it's like my Cadillac. It's called a blend door. There is only one heater core that feeds the two separate sides.
Will have to pull the dash, and inspect the vacuum lines and cables.
If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
