SOURCE: interior door handle replacement 1992 honda accord

Do u mean the door latch, which u pull to open the door, or the plastic molded handle u grab to shut the door? If it's the latch, there are two small round plugs in the plastic area of the door lock and locking switch. Use a small flat end screwdriver to pry them out , exposing two philips head screws. If this isn't what u needed, let me know, I'll get more info for u. countrycurt0

For the driver's side headlight, yes, the battery must be removed to change the headlight. There are three screws but they don't have to be removed, just loosened enough to where the bulb can rotate ninety degrees to pull out. Be prepared to reenter the radio code as disconnecting the battery will cause the radio to electronically lock out. The radio code can be found on the security card or inside the user's manual if you're lucky.

SOURCE: how to disconnect o2 sensors honda accord dx 2005

Follow the wire from the o2 sensor and you will see the connector, squeeze the end tab and pull lightly. Disconnecting 02 sensor due to the check engine light is ON is not recommended and will cause you to loose and sacrifice lots of gas mileage. for example, If you getting 22 on the highway, you will get 16-18 on the highway. Disconnect the sensor will make your computer re-adjust you fuel and air mixture even tough the car run fine. Replacing it, I usually have a better access from the bottom for removing, replacing and for the leverage than from the top having to remove the fans and sort and no room to move the wrench. You cant use standard socket set, recommend big box end wrench in metric, would not recommend using anything else due to striping the bolt of the o2 sensor than you end up a big trouble. when replacing new o2, make sure you put anti seize lubricate on the threads to keep it from sticking for the next time around. if your engine light stay on, it may not be your o2 sensor triggering that light.

How do i take off the inside drivers door panel on a 2005 dodge caravan

Hi Roberta, here's the instructions on how to remove your door panel. I have to wonder though on why you are removing it, my guess is you window doesn't roll up or down and your replacing the regulator. Any way here goes.

REMOVAL

  1. Remove the plug and remove screw attaching door pull cup to inner door panel.
  2. Remove switch bezel and disconnect power window/memory switch.
  3. Remove screws attaching trim panel to door from below map pocket.
  4. If equipped, remove window crank. (Refer to 23 - BODY/DOOR - FRONT/WINDOW CRANK - REMOVAL)
  5. Remove screw holding door trim to door panel from behind inside latch release handle .
  6. Disengage clips attaching door trim to door frame around perimeter of panel.
  7. Lift trim panel upward to disengage flange from inner belt molding at top of door.
  8. Tilt top of trim panel away from door to gain access to latch linkage.
  9. Disengage clip attaching linkage rod to inside latch release handle (INSIDE DOOR HANDLE LINKAGE).
  10. Separate linkage rod from latch handle.
  11. Disconnect the power door switch, courtesy lamp electrical connectors.
  12. Remove front door trim panel from vehicle.
Hope this helps and have an awesome day Roberta!

My drivers side door will not open. Cannot remove panel. How do I remove the panel withou opening the door for 1998 Honda Accord

Had the same problem happen to me on a rear door. A mechanic lowered the window, and managed to "fish" the metal rod that goes from the outside handle down to the locking mechanism. Usually, this rod becomes dislodged at the top end, where it meets the outside and inside handle rods, disabling both. If it became dislodged at the bottom, where it meets the locking mechanism, then this procedure will not work. Much of the front door panel can be disassembled with the door closed. And maybe, just maybe, if you take out the window switches sub panel from the door panel, you will be able to look for and reach the rod actuator. This subpanel (black plastic) is held by just two screws at the bottom, hidden with a plastic top, that you have to pry out to reach the screw itself.

2005 Honda Accord - the passenger door lock will not lock or unlock whether I'm using the key handle or the internal power lock buttons. Any ideas?

I suspect you lock linkage rod came off inside the door.Remove the door panel and lock / unlock manual knob as you watch the rod to see if it is moving. Typically a door panel will have a few screws and several push in fasteners holding the panel on the door. Look the panel over closely and remove all screws, including the handle bucket and top left side screws - some vehicles have screws on the edge of the door. Use a large flat blade screwdriver to slide along between the door and panel, twisting at the points where the panel is tight to the door. These push ins will be tight and your local auto parts store has a special tool for removing the push ins - this would be the safest route to go to prevent damaging the push ins. Remove panel and look at the locking mechanism - I think this is where you have the disconnect issue. There is a plastic retainer that the rod goes into. It pushes into the lock mechanism and swings over the arm. Sometimes these retainers break and the arm falls off, so you may need to replace them. Your local parts store mat have these in stock or be able to order them for you - otherwise you'll need to go to either the dealer or a body shop to get the parts. You can get an exact diagram of the interior of your door to show you the specifics of the mechanism at
www.alldata.com
They charge a fee for the look up and you can print out what you see there for future reference.
I hope this helps and please rate my solution - Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Unable to unlock the driver side door on a 1991 Honda Accord

You likely have a "link rod" that has either broken it's clip, or come unclipped from the lock and handle assembly. It could also be a broken door handle itself. It's very difficult to tell untill you have the door panel off to inspect. First, pull the door panel. Should be one screw in the inside door handle (#2 phillips), and 1 or 2 (can't remember) in the inside of the hand grab (also #2 phillips). To get the door latch and lock assembly off the door panel, after removing the screw push the assembly forward (towards the front of the car) and pull outward lightly on the back of the latch assembly. Once off, you will see two metal link rods with plastic clips on them, one for the door release and one for the lock. To remove the rods from the clips, look for the "open end" of the clip and push it. This will swivel the clip out of the way and the rod will lift out of the hole. About 90 degrees of rotatiojn should be enough, and from what I remember, they will rotate (looking down) counter-clockwide to release the clips After that, it's just door panel trees. If I remember correctly, there are between 8 and 10 of them. Start at the door catch/latch and work your way around. If you have a door panel removal tool, use it. If not, a single, or even better a pair of thin (1 inch wide) putty knives can be used. Flat blade screwdriver is the last resort. Once the door panel is off, check the other ends oif the link rods you just took off. If one isn't connected, bingo. If it is, then remove the door latch from the door frame using a 10mm socket and an extention. I believe there are 3 bolts holding the latch to the door. Check the opperation of the latch off the car using a screwdriver to act as the door striker, and opperate the levers the link rods move by hand. If the latch is bad, replace! the Stick

How do i replace a 1992 honda accord drivers front window

IF you scroll over the title, you can see the word "window". Raise the window about two inches. Remove the interior door panel: Remove the inner door handle screw, push the handle forward, pull it out some, unclip the actuating rod, you may also have to unplug the power lock switch. Remove the screw in the arm rest. Remove the plastic plug at the forward upper corner of the panel. Remove the black plastic triangle at the insdie of the side view mirror (it just snaps in place). Pull the bottom of the panel away from the door to disengage plastic clips, then lift the panel off the door and disconnect the electrical connectors. Pull the plastic away from the bottom part of the door (you'll probably end up tearing it). There are two bolts that hold the window glass to the regulator mechanism, remove those and the glass can be pulled up through the window opening. If necessary, the bottom of the window tracks (a screw at the bottom of botjh) can be loosened to loosen up the window.
