How to drain my 2006 Dodge Durango fuel tank

If the pump will still run, you can open a fuel line, maybe use hose on line to aim down into a container and drain that way. Don't take any lines loose unless your sure no pressure on the system. Sometimes you can get under vehicle remove fill hose from gas tank, then use a siphon hose in the gas tank. Your local auto store probably has a plastic siphon hose, that has a squeeze bulb on it to create a siphon, so you don't have to use your mouth. I don't know if that will reach down the fill tube? In my younger years, they called a siphon hose an okla credit card. I'm almost 70 now, don't like getting gas in my mouth.lol

I have a 2001 3.4l impala. I tried sticking a hose in the tank but it wont go all the way down into the tank for me to siphon. Why is this and whats a easy way to get the gas out? Note: Car runs

Newer cars have valves in the filler tube which are rollover spill prevention and Evap valves which do not allow thicker tubes to enter into the gas tank. See these YouTube links as below which show you to how to Siphon Gas out of the Tank. Good Luck.

How do i siphon gas from my Acura MDX?Hose gos in about 2 feet then stops?

You can't. There is a roll over valve/ball in the neck of the tank preventing a siphon hose from entering the tank

Can I siphon gas from a 1995 ford thunderbird the v 8

Most cars have an anti siphoning device in the filler tube that resembles a screen so you can't put a tube down to be able to siphon gas out of the tank.

I have a 97 ford taurus and its a clunker. Im getting rid of it. It got a full tank and i would like to siphon it out and into my new car. I got a siphon kit and fed the tub all the way in till i wouldnt...

unfortunately most fuel tanks are made so you can no longer siphon gas through the fill tube. if you want the fuel that badly you could disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter and wait for it to drip out.

I have an old Honda I'm going to junk. It has close to 15 gallons of fuel in the tank. How do I get the gas out of the tank, which seems to have a screen or something to prevent siphoning?

I would simply pound a pipe through the screen and snake a siphon down it. If you are more safety minded, jack up the rear corner where the gascap is and find where the fill tube enters the tank and disconnect that. Then put your drain siphon hose in, begin to drain and lower the jack slowly as it drains out.

Does the 2004 cavalier have an anti-siphon valve between the filler tube and the gas tank?

not 100% on this but i believe all cars after like 97 have an anti-siphon screen that keeps the tube from entering the gas tank.
