Was the pump timing chain driven!! f so thats probably your problem, timing is off. if all was ok before the job then it is the chain. get a good book, and follow directions carefully if need be. on the nissan it is reccomended to change the timing belt every 60,000 miles.

Testimonial: "Thanks very much. My technician is already looking in that direction. The security system has also stopped working. Need your help please."

the imobilizer system is preventing starting the engine. 99 nissans have had big problems with some of the 99,s i from day one! try this, 1) turn factory original key to on engine off for 5 seconds, 2) turn key to off position, 3) repeat 1 and 2 again. do it twice, 4) this should set the computer to chip in key. if this does not work go to dealer to reprogram key and computer. if you had scan to that reads the control module, you can get the stored codes and you will know what area to look into. have a good one!! also if you have a spair key, use this one to reset the system.

I have a 89 pontiac firebird Trans Am "GTA" 5.7L tuned port injected. My engine gets hot somehow and my car has a quick start but lower power afterward. What could the problem be?

Fix the radiator cooling problems. You will damage the engine if you keep running the car in an overheated condition.

1. Replace the thermostat in the cooling system
2. Replace the water pump
3. Flush the cooling system thoroughly and re-fill with the correct coolant. Bleed any air out of the system otherwise you will have problems with air blockages and thus poor coolant flow.

You probably do not know how to do any of this so take it to a reputable workshop or cooling specialist to have it done.

The pump and or the pump seal has gone out. You will have to have the transmission removed and repaired.

I had the water pump changed on my 1992 Ford Taurus. Afterwards when the car was turned on it was letting out a lot of white, grey smoke from the tail pipe and the car was shaking. what can be causing it?...

it's quite possible that the head gasket is blown and it's allowing water to enter one of the cylinders and that's a good possibility for the white smoke. It may be that before the water pump was changed that it overheated and allowed the head to blow a gasket.

Ok i have a 1999 hyundai accent wont start changed fuel pump and it started ran very bad very! turned it off wouldnt start back up again checked spark plugs no spark and no power going to fuel pump we are...

Changing the pump doesn't affect the spark so lets start a that the beginning?? Why was the pump replaced and was it running fine before changing the pump? Also plugs could be fouled as well but if it was working fine before the fuel pump it will be fine afterwards if getting gas and the fuel pump was the problem., Also how did you verify no spark??

Remove the battery cables and inspect them for corrosion build up. Clean with baking soda and warm water. Reinstall and try to start. Also check carging system. 13.5-14.5 volts when running.

1984 Volvo 240 DL Wagon not Starting and dying

In my 86 volvo this is where a relay was under the glove box area i believe it was the fuel pump relay. In my vehicle i washed the car and found it did not start afterwards after many hours of troubleshooting i found this relay was full of water causing my problem, they hang it upside down so water can enter easily, i took mine apart and cleaned the contacts with sandpaper, worked fine afterwards.
