Blower only comes out of the middle vent and not the top or bottom

The mechanism that directs the flow of air from your fan motor is not working and unit is stuck in default position. If vacuum operated check vacuum lines and vacuum switch for leaks.

If motor driven then check the motor and/or electronics that control it..

My windows are not defrosting properly.

Do you have heat? Does the fan turn on? are you getting air from the defroster vents close to the windshield? If you have heat make sure the defrost control is working. I'd open the outside air vent and turn the blower on high speed. If there is no heat, the heater control valve is not working. Double check the radiator fluid tank, make sure you have enough fluid (antifreeze) Low fluid levels can reduce the hot water flow to the heater coil inside the car. If there
is no air flow through the defroster vents you may have a problem with the fan control, or the fan motor. Good luck.

check your blower hoses to see if one or more have come loose or got redirected or the selector switch isn't functioning properly (is it blowing better on defrost as opposed to floor vents, or forward vents, etc.)
Good luck

The default configuration when all vacuum fails is to defrost vents. Most likely your vacuum supply to the switch is weak. Check the connection of the supply line to the intake manifold for damage. If no problem there, trace it to the switch on the control panel. If there is an accumulator, make sure it isn't leaking and is storing vacuum. If all this is good, look at any other vacuum lines connected to the intake manifold that may be leaking and possibly reducing the vacuum supply to the HVAC control line. Let me know if you have more questions.

One of the Actuators for the doors inside your dash that controls and diverts air might not be working correctly. You may have to either replace the Actuator or Replace the A/C Heater Control. Your vehicle does not come with a Cabin Air Filter.

My 2005 Nissan Sentra air flow control dial will not work. Air flow is stuck coming our of the dash vents and will not change to any other location. Help???

on nissan's air vent controls, they use electronic servos already. this may entail that you havta dis assemble half of your dashboard. unless you're quite savvy in doing this and locate each servo in its separate locations in each air vent; i suggest that you bring it in to a shop.

Air flow problem

Hi 2Manytoys.

You'll need to remove the parts of the consul that give access to the unit and then inspect the operating levers, cables and the ducting vent baffles....The problem will be there...make sure that nothing has fallen into the operating units....Check and see where and whats stuck....Just observation and patients

Have fun, it's part of the toy,
