All fuses we fine, went over all electrical connection. I checked the codes off check engine light. It read a code of (5).............. P1128,P1129.................................Map sensor circuit low/high voltage. Could this cause this problem that im have with not starting?

I took it to Auto Zone today and they read the code again an it said that PO135 02 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1. This is the 02 sensor in the manifold ,and it is called the Upstream Sensor right? In your last message you said to remove the connections on the 02 sensor ad try to start it up. That does not mean to take it of and start the car up right?

    Thanks Danny

    Hi again,

Pls try checking (again) the O2 sensor. You can even try removing the O2 connector, reset the ECU/ECM (computer by detaching battery cable for a few minutes) and start without the O2 sensor.

The sensor need not be removed physically, just the electrical connector.

Knock sensor for Honda 1998 Accord LX

Duplicate question.
I doubt the sensor would make the engine stop running. The computer would slow down the spark timing to prevent engine knock, but not shut it off.

the 1998 accord has a recall on the ignition switch that sounds like the problem go to car fax to see if your vin number is among teh ones being recalled if not you might have to pay for anew one

Battery died, replaced the battery. now car will start and when i let off the gas the car shuts off. 99 honda accord

be VERY easy when letting off the gas and make sure everything is off the car needs to "find" its self let it idle till you hear the cooling fans cylce on and off twice then let it sit for five minutes running. this can be time consuming

Wont start... My 93 accord died several times the last time it died and hasent started since. The tach and speedo were jumping erdadically while going down road. Now every thing will work except for power...

sounds like the igntion switch has failed, not the key cylinder but the actual electrical switch, a common problem on these earlier honda's, the bit about when the windows work is the dead give away

Honda Accord won't start, when it does it sputters and has no power

Sounds like the timing belt is in need of replacing. Another thing to check is a plugged up cat. converter.
