Re: Starts and runs Great, But the check engine light is...
You need to have the code(s) read out before you clear them just to ensure that there is nothing sinister going on with the engine management system.
I will, however, say that if the Jimmy is running with no issues or problems then the code will very highly likely refer to either an O2 sensor, the EVAP system, or maybe even catalytic inefficiency. This list isn't exhaustive, just the most popular causes.

It can take a while for that to go away, If it was not the gas cap then it wont go away, autozone could have cleared the code and it would have gone away. You can clear the code by removing the fuse for the ecm or unhooking the battery, otherwise it may take 3 to 7 starting cycles to reset.
1345 is cam and crank sensor correlation its mainly the cam sensor going out, also the delay start that also trigger a camsensor code they call it excessive crank time check the fuel pressure that is capable of setting a cam code (1345) If fuel pressure is good (55-60 psi) expect to replace the camsensor you might as well do the crank sensor heres a nightmare on this code it can set if the distributor is off one tooth and yes these distributor have high failure rate
P1345 is "Crankshaft position sensor / Camshaft position sensor correlation"
Code P1345 determines if the distributor is installed incorrectly, or
if a mechanical malfunction is present in the engine. The light will
trigger when the engine is running and the camshaft sensor reference
pulse is not detected at a correct relative position with the crankshaft
pulse. Most likely causes for this Chevy check engine light code
include a faulty crankshaft position sensor, a wiring concern or an
improperly installed distributor. A quick check on the crankshaft sensor
is to monitor the RPM value with a scan tool while revving up the
engine. If the reading is close to twice the expected RPM, then the
sensor is likely faulty. There are other less likely concerns possible,
such as base engine or computer related issues, but these involve more
in depth testing. I hope this information is useful.
The check engine light does not refer to oil changes, this is for emmision and fuel management as well as a diagnostic tool for other engine components. The only wasy to clear this is to have the dealer clear them or repair what ever is causing the light. It will however clear it self after about 20 times of starting the car and the computer not seing any more bad scans from what ever caused the light to come on in the first place. You can have Auto Zone pull the codes from your car and tell you what caused the light to come on in the first place. To clear the aoil change light turn the key on and press the gas pedal 3 times all the way to the floor without the engine running.
The 95 Caravan is great for giving you trouble codes. However they are two digit codes. There should be a blink sequence followed by a short pause then another blink sequence (example 2 blinks, short pause, 3 blinks... Then 5 blinks, pause, 5 blinks which means no more codes. Turn key from off to run three times and leave in run and watch check engine light to count blinks. Disconnecting negative terminal on battery for 30 seconds clears codes.
Code p1345 is the crankshaft variation learn. You need to get the crankshaft variation learn done for the code to clear. You will need a scan tool. This should take care of the check engine light.Hope this helps.Good luck.
