Question about 1999 GMC Jimmy
The engine is a W. I have gone to three places to clear the code and in 3 to 5 mins. its back. Why is it doing it?
You need to have the code(s) read out before you clear them just to ensure that there is nothing sinister going on with the engine management system.
I will, however, say that if the Jimmy is running with no issues or problems then the code will very highly likely refer to either an O2 sensor, the EVAP system, or maybe even catalytic inefficiency. This list isn't exhaustive, just the most popular causes.
Very best regards
