You are looking for a heater core hose. If the rubber hose is leaking you just remove the clamps and pull it off. Make sure you drain the radiator first. If the plastic or metal part is leaking then you'll have to replace the core.

First I would look at all the hoses for pinhole leaks. The test the water pump by trying to move the radiator fan back and forth(on a longitudinal engine, not transverse). Turn on the engine and see if there is any coolant leaking from the front of the coolant pump. If so, the coolant pump is going bad. Otherwise, can you smell the sweet smell of coolant in the cab? If so, you probably have a leaking heater-core,

Coolant leaking from 1998 ford mustang

If you have coolant leaking from the top of your engine then you have either a bad hose or your thermostat housing is leaking and requires a new gasket. Either one is an easy fix for anyone with even basic mechanical knowledge. Just ask your local parts shop to point out the problem to you.

I dont know if the water **** is bad or if there are busted hoses, but I see water squirting out of a little L shaped hose and water runs out at the bottom. If I buy a new water pump what hoses do I buy as...

Water pumps usually have a weep hole on the bottom of the snout. This is put there so when the seals go bad you will know from the water leaking out. Try to look for that weep hole and see if coolant is coming from there before spending money on a pump. If the pump does not look as if it has been leaking then maybe its just the hose.
Not knowing what Pontiac car (or Truck) you are working on and what hose specificly. When asking for the hose at the store just tell them where it goes to. Water pump bypass, water pump to intake, water pump to heater core, etc..

Before checking the water pump the simplest thing is to go to your parts store and either borrow or rent a radiator pressure tester. By adding about 12PSI to your coolant system you should be able to easily identify where the coolant is coming from. This is a nice way to test for leaks, no hot engine no moving parts and you can use a make up compact mirror if you don't have a telescoping mirror to look behind things.
Chances are its a bad heater hose or coolant bypass hose.

A Large leak is almost never a gas cap, thats usually the small leak. Dodge uses cheap hoses that crack badly. Check the canister in the Engine compartment, passenger side. Then check passenger side behind the cab by the frame. 2 canisters and hoses leaving that ,often cracked. Last is a piece that connects from the hard steel lines near the oil pan....one of these three usually

The small elbow shaped hose coming out of the manifold and into the belt tensioner is leaking coolant. What is this part and how easy to replace?

This is a 3100, or a 3400 V6 engine? It should be one of the water hoses that connects the tube on the front to the water pump, it is a preformed hose availiable from many parts stores and is not difficult to replace, if you drain a little coolant out before you take it off you will lose less coolant in replacement, be sure to refill coolant after your done. Hope this helps, let me know

Water pouring out when poured into radaitor

You have a bad casting plug in the side of the engine. A lot of people call them freeze plugs because they pop out if the coolant freezes. They also rust through. They are driven in place and the size can be looked up at the parts store. You will want to change all of them . Lee

It Is probably a "Coolant Bypass hose" If its possible...take it off and bring it in to an auto parts shop and have them match it up...some cars have "Several" coolant by-pass hoses. A Site might help you identify the hose as well

http://www.rockauto.com

Go to it and Click "pontiac"
Click "1997"
Click " Bonneville SE" or "SSE"...then click "Cooling System" and then click "Coolant Hose"
Click the various pictures in hopes to "Spot" the one thats in your car, And read the label as to what its called or even get the part number!
I hope this info has helped you out
