About the only thing that you didn't list is the cooling fan. Are you sure that it's working properly? Drive the car until the engine starts to get hot. After awhile you should hear the cooling fan come on. After you have driven the car for a while, park it and open up the hood. If the upper radiator hose is almost too hot to touch, then check to see if the coolant fan is running. If it isn't, then turn the AC switch to "AC MAX". If the fan still doesn't come on, then a malfunction is indicated. Try to locate the fan control relay and swap it with another relay that has the same part number. Use a relay that will allow the engine to run. Allow the engine to reach operating temperature and see if the fan comes on after switching the AC switch to "AC MAX". If the fan now operates, then replace the relay. I hope this is helpful to you. Thank you for trying Fixya.com. If this does not solve your problem, then post a comment and I will respond by getting into more advanced diagnostics.
mcdevito75 here, The heater/Ac fan motor is a sealed unit, locate the fan motor, as you look at the engine from the front of the car the fan motor will be on your left side comming out of the firewall, It"s a round cylinder like and is black, from inside the car put the fan on, tap the fan motor itself with a screwdriver, small wrench, etc. see if it"ll start, if not have your local shop replace this fan motor.
The cooling fans on this vehicle won't come on unless the a/c is on or until the engine coolant temperature reaches about 220 degrees. Once the coolant has reached this temperature the fans will come and and run until the engine cools down to about 210 degrees and they will then turn off until the temperature climbs up again. The fans usually aren't on at all at highway speeds because enough air is being forced through the radiator to keep everything cool. The true test of cooling fan operation is to allow the car to idle in park with both the a/c and defrost turned off and let it run until the fans come on. When The temp gauge reaches about 3/4 of the way up, give or take a bit, the fans should come on. Keep an eye on the gauge so the engine doesn't overheat just in case there really is a fan control problem but I'd say you'll most likely find that the fans are working properly since they do come on for the a/c. Hope this helps!
if the fans are not coming on then i would start with that, might be a problem with the fans or with what tells the fans to come on, if it runs cool while driving and warmer when sitting then it could be a couple of different things, need to check the front of your radiator/condesnor, its the thing behind your grill, make sure it nut plugged / clooged of full of bugs, if air flow cant make it through then it wont transfer heat.
climate control units in most cars use the ac system to regulate temp in the cab. the ac system requires a fan to pull air over the condensor on the front of the car. its normal for a fan to come on. unless you have a bad engine temp sending unit thats causing the engine cooling fan to come on improperly.
try turning off the heat and ac and see if it still comes on.
