IF EVERY THING LOOKS GOOD.CHECK IGNITION TIMING AND THE EGR VALVE WORKING. FAULTY EGR VALVE WILL CAUSE ENGINE TO OVER HEAT.

2001 chevy malibu coolant temp sensor isnt working stuck at cold heater is hot and cooling fans are always on

You did not change the coolant temp sw. you change the ETC which sends a signal to the cpu. It looks just like the temp sw. Look on the driver side head and I believe you will see another one there or look the engine over for another sw just like the one you changed. Not sure what size engine you are asking about.

After my 96 ram 1500 318c.u. gets up to temp. the temp gauge keeps going up. it never has over heated but i dont drive it very far. ive replaced upper and lower hoses, thermastat and radiator cap. Im lost?...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. That would be my next guess. Maybe a bad coolant sensor. You might have a bad water pump as well. Make sure the fans are kicking on properly also. Check your radiator.

My 1999 aurora tends to over heat when not moving traffic or idle

The temp sensor for the fan is along the radiator hose. You should see wires coming out from it. If you pull out the sensor from its plug, the radiator fan should turn on and if it does not then the fan could be faulty. Or the fan may be weak in blowing air in

2000 expedition heat problem

first of all I would make sure the car has proper amount of coolant and you are right it is very possible you have an air pocket in the system also ask your self did you change the thermastat after you did the heater core when the car is cold make sure there is coolant at the cold mark on the reservior bottle because you might not have enough coolant then start the car and get it up to temp and if the coolant goes not go up to the hot mark when the car gets to temp you do not have enought coolant just keep adding coolant and you will see the bubble after the thermastat opens

The thermastat should usualy be on the top of the motor trace your top radiator hose to the top of the motor and thats where it should be. the thermastat cost like under 20 bux took me 15 min to do mine in my 88 bronco 2, don't forget the gaskit
