All lights work, but brake lights, new bulbs and fuses and brake light switch

Well, you've replaced everything between except the wire. You need to verify if voltages are present either with a voltmeter or a test light. verify power on both sides of the fuse, then make sure the brake switch has and passes power. If the turn signals flash the brake light, then test the turn signal switch as well.

2001 ford escort the brake lights will not come on and we replaced all bulbs with new ones now what can we try

Have you checked the fuse? If not the fuse you are looking for is located in the fuse panel inside the vehicle and is the one marked "stop" as seen in the picture I gave you below. If the fuse is good, there is the brake light switch itself that is located along the shaft of the brakes pedal (below is a picture of what it looks like basically). You can check with a test light to make sure you have power to it as well. These are the things I would start to look at first. If it's further then that you have some wiring problems and that will take a lot of detailed instructions and more pictures but I think what I just told you about is the problem, one of those two. Anyway, I hope this helped and good luck.

The brakes light won't go off. Ford Escort ZX2 2001

either replace brake light switch or check on the brake pedal arm for a 1/2 diameter blue rubber brake light switch bumper pad. The brake switch is normally closed which means when you push the on brake pedal the switch makes and power is applied through the switch to the lights. When the brake pedal is released the switch actuator strikes the rubber bumper and opens the switch contacts. If the bumper is missing the switch will not open to break the power circuit to the lights.

2000 zx-2 driver's side brake light not working

Try replacing the bulb. You can access it from the trunk by pulling back the carpet on the backside where the lens is. It will either have plastic wingnuts or small fastners...the bulb pops right oout...just replace it. $5.00 for the bulb....looks like this:

I need a schematic for 1999 Ford Escort Se rear brake lines

start with easy thing first are you sure both bulbs are ok ? get a test lamp
or make one!
get a good 12v bulb attach wires to side of bulb one to the terminal on base of
bulb, tape together now you can fined volts
hand brake on out of gear?

turn key on go inside car above the brake

theres a switch pull the plug off
put one end your test lamp to earth (the car body) and the other wire put to the terminals on the plug you pulled off if you get your test bulb to light its the switch thats faulty

replace switch if you have power at the switch and still no lights make a short bit of wire take back the insulation a bit so bair wire is showing make it in to a u shaped and put in to plug above the
brake that you pulled off you should now have volts(power) in the boot useing your new test lamp
to fned it make good all earthing points its somewhere between the switch and the boot?
if you fine when brake is pressed you get more than one light on its a bad earth
if you have no power at the switch ts prob fuse box fault tthry wll known for bad solder joins
good luck ps dont foget to replace plug
