Check if you have spark at the spark plugs because if one engine does not start for lack of spark or fuel if all else is fine

1988 2.5E s10 no fuel

you mean, cranks ok, but will not start and no fuel , right>?
s10 no fuel. 1988 ( S10 blazer )
please do say , what that means.
1: car cranks and will not start. so must be out of fuel?
(over 50 causes, or better is 10 or less tests (ask)
2: same, and fuel pressure is 0 psi (spec.9-13). gauged.?
3: fuel dribble test?
4: sparks good so tired test fuel and it ran on test fuel ok? proving
loss of fueling>?
5: injector dead cranking, (eyeballs)

which was it?

1988 cars in the USA are BIG TIME TRANSITION year.
we went from CARBS to EFI.
2.5L (what is E)?
gear cam, roller HLA lifters.
your car, USA , is TBI engine,
TBI started on THIS car in 1985 (1/2 and 1/2)
Throttle body injection
an on all TBI engines, one can see it inject with eyes.
does it?
if not it can be the following things.
1: no fuel pressure, 9-13pis.
2: ECU is cutting fuel. Pressure good cranking.
2a: ECU is sending error for bad crank/cam sensors, and cuts fuel.
2b: ECU sees rpm or tacho line dead.
2c. ECU sees TPS sensor output as 4v or more cranking, this cuts all fuel.
3: if ECU is happy, it sends 12vcd to the pump, cranking.
all tests must be dont cranking or chase tail.

Motor as no fuel

which engine?
post the symptoms, please.
my guess, it wont start?
or stalls?
and spark is 100% good (tests)
and now you suspect fueling system loss?
fuel is last check.
after good engine, good spark and if good , try test fuel (spray)
if motor starts for 3second test fuel, then you have lost fueling
we then do the fuel pressure checks in the FSM , every step, (6)
we check pressure cranking, many engines must crank to get fuel..

1996 suburban with 5.7l have good fuel pressure, sparks at the plugs, cranks with starter fluid but wont crank when i disconnect the crank sensor.

when you say good fuel pressure is it 55 psi with the key on and engine off? any thing less then 50 psi will not start the engine. if the engine starts with starter fluid then the problem is in the fuel system.

The engine cranks fine, but won't start. Fuel pressure gets up to about 40 lbs. when cranking. There is a spark, but it may be too weak. Any good ideas?

your fuel pressure should actually be around 180lbs to run the the breather up and spray a very small ammount of starting fluid into the breather while you're cranking it. if it does start, your problems the fuel pump,or a clogged fuel filter.if it does'nt start you can move on to crankshaft sensor.or a bad fuel pressure regulator. thank you for choosing

Long crank time but always starts

It may have good fuel pressure while running or cranking over, but sounds like it is not holding the pressure in the system.
Could be a weak fuel pump, and or fuel pressure regulator.

check the asd relay swap it with another like it. also check fuses and old car alarm if it had one.the cam and crank sensor will not affect fuel pressure. the cam sensor should not stop this car from starting. but the crank sensor will. good luck.

Jeep grand cherokee 95 fuel pump takes long time to start ,

First install a fuel pressure tester on the fuel rail and check the pressure during crank. It should be about 30 psi.If the pressure is not good then it could be a bad fuel pump relay or fuel pump itself (in the tank).
If the fuel pump pressure is good then you could have a bad crank sensor.

Car cranks but doesn't start and no fuel pressure

The fuel pump is probably bad, bad pumps can produce some pressure at times but not enough to run the car.

Blazer takes forever to start

Have you done a leak down test on the fuel pump? If the pump check valve doesn't hold pressure the fuel drains back to the fuel tank, then you have prime the lines with fuel before any is delivered to the injectors, hence a long crank time. Install a fuel pressure guage and start the engine, then turn off the engine and wait overnightm the system should not loose more than 5 PSI
