Heating fan switch not working

cab heater? there are 3 fans, engine, cab heat and A/C. so....
a stuck CAB switch is a bad switch. easy huh?
if the switch only works on high but does move, that is a bad heater fan Resistor block. (usually bolted to fan hosing as it is air cooled this part)

Fan sensor is not working.

You need to change the relay and the temp sensor switch. If you have done that the reason it's not coming on is probably because the coolant is not getting hot enough to cause it to come on. Let me explain. The coolant fan when the A/C is off is activated by the coolant fan switch. The switch closes when coolant temperature is over 238F completing a path to ground through the coolant fan relay windings. The relay contacts then close and voltage is applied to the coolant fan. When the coolant temperature drops to 214F, the switch opens and the coolant fan stops. In A/C equipped vehicles, the A/C control head completes a path to ground for the coolant fan relay whenever the A/C is on no matter what the temperature. Voltage is then applied to the coolant fan. Essentially, the coolant fan switch is by-passed when the A/C is on, which is why the fan works whenever you turn the A/C on. Now, if the fan does not kick in when the coolant temperature is over 238F but works when the A/C is on, the problem has to be the coolant fan switch or the connectors or wiring to the CFS.

I can not get my cooling fan to start no matter how hot my 1991 corvette gets i took it to the shop and tthey ssaid they could force the fan on what's wrong?

well there can be three things wrong, If the mechanic actually umped hte fan then there can only be one of two things wrong with it. 1. the fan relay or the fan temperature switch. the relay is the easiest to test as you can just swap it out with the horn relay and try honking the horn. Horn works then its the fan temperature switch. Horn does not work it is the relay.

Good Luck

The cooling fans to the radiator are not working.

This is usually the problem with a fan is the thermostatic switch. Bridge out the thermostatic switch on the radiator which operated the fan. If the fan works, replace the switch. If this does not work, check the wire connections and the relay. Also, with the ignition on, one of the wires on the switch should be live, you can check this with a test light brounded to the body work.

I REMOVED THE AC FAN SWITCH FOR THE THE FAN AND WHEN I PUT IT BACK ON IT DOES NOT TURN ON ANY MORE. HOW DO I RE-INSTALL THIS TO WORK AND TURN ON FAN FOR AC AND HEATER?

Fan switch ? Blower fan or engine cooling fan ??...I presume you mean the blower fan speed control switch.

On top of the battery under the hood, is a set of Green 30Amp fuses. These burn out the holder and a/c no longer works.

If so, by pass fuse with a replacement/repair '' in line fuse'' of 30 Amps from you local parts store.

Other reason fan not working is failed fan resistor under glove box near fan housing....although this is usually low speeds not working by HI does.

If you have the non electronic a/c system, the a/c rotary switch in the panel burns out often.

My 2006 suburban fan switch doesn't work. I know it is the switch because the middle and rear fan switches work. Help please

it could and could not be the switch. You also have a fan blower relay and a fan blower resistor that may be bad alone with the fan blower motor itself. Good Luck!!!
