Hi there!

The only hoses that should go from engine through the firewall, are the Heater and Air con hoses.

If the hose has been replaced, the heating settings may have been mis-set. The PCV valve is nothing to do with them - it regulates the oil sump pressure and engine emissions.

If this hits the spot - Please spare a moment to rate as Fixya! Thanks.

The ac vent blows out hot air on the drivers side ,and the passenger side vent blows out cold air what could cause this problem on my 2001 buick century

its probably the actuator. its usually located under the dash in the center. you might be able to get to it by removing the glove box and looking to the drivers side. its a black box that has a wire connector on it. switch your heater control from hot to cold and you should here it click. replace it and i bet your problem is solved

Have a 94 Buick century. Replaced thermostate. Running hot. Looks as tho is leaking underneath front near pump. And also in passenger floor board can't see the leak from inside. It's just alwa

Whenever I see a system which is leaking from more than one or two places, I do a head gasket check because that tells me that the system is experiencing above normal pressures. the wet floor is a heater core. whether it's a water pump or some other thing near it only you can tell. Actually it rarely happens, but the wet floor could be the hose where it meets the heater core at the firewall; again, only you will be able to tell the difference. if the hose connection looks dry, assume that it is the core itself.

Water on passenger side floor when a/c is turned on and defrost

Sounds like the condensate drain is clogged. for this you need to jack up the car and support it with 2 means. from the bottom look up just inside of the passenger side frame rail on the firewall is a rubber hose sticking out about 1 1/2 inches stick a wire in there and clean it out. You will get water coming out when your done.
