If it is missing the check engine light will be flashing or may just be on.Is the check engine light on or flashing? If not then what you can do is remove the mas air flow sensor and clean it.It is located on the plastic tube part that goes to the air filter. You can get some mas air flow sensor cleaner and most part stores. Some people use brake clean but I figure if they make a special cleaner for it I know it won`t hurt the sensor. After cleaning it just let it air dry.Only takes about a minute. If you do have codes then you will have to retrieve them. Then you can post back and let me know what they are and I will be glad to help you solve the missing problem.Hope this helps.Good luck.

1999 nissan altima pops and sputters while driving

Hi Scott, I'm glad to help!

Scott, if you haven't performed a TUNE UP I would suggest starting there. If you have tuned it up, then hook up a fuel gauge and tape it to the windshield securely so you can see it. Then drive it and see if you lose fuel pressure when the problem occurs. If you lose fuel pressure then replace the fuel pump. If the fuel pressure stays even and doesn't drop then the fuel pump isn't the problem. Then you'll need to move on to an electrical issue. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Scott.

Car runs perfect then starts missing real bad then stalls

Not unusual for fuel pumps to begin to fail once they are heated up from running. First thing in the morning pump is cool, then as you drive, it heats up and begins to lose pressure. After sitting a 1/2hr-1hr, it may start again and run fine for a short time and start to act up again. Had similar problem and found good fuel pressure when tank and pump cool, but lost pressure once vehicle driven a distance and pump heated up. The hotter the weather, the shorter the distance I could drive. If you can somehow set it up to have fuel pressure checked when it starts to act up, that would certainly help confirm if fuel pressure is the culprit.

What would cause my 2003 Dodge Grand caravan se, 3.3l 6 cyl to start shaking and acting like its going to cut off

If no "check engine" light on, perhaps a new fuel filter would be a good place to start, and have fuel pressure tested if it doesn't help. More info, such as does it only on highway driving, or all the time, when was last tune-up, fuel system cleaned etc?

My 99 f350 runs down the road fine but when i push down on the pedal more than half way the engine acts like it is starving for fuel or missing. shakes like a teenager trying to learn to drive a stick. has...

A clogged fuel filter can do it and a vehicle in need of a tune up. A vacuum leak in the engine or airways could cause shaking. You could have a bad fuel injector. If it has been awhile since you have had a tuneup, I would get one done. If you have, maybe change the filter. May need to check all your fluids also.

Have you checked the injector wiring? Each has only 2 wires you can check. If no power, test the injector power control module.

97 Dakota, complete tune up has been done replaced fuel pump. If I can get it started runs fine. It acts like it is flooding, what controls fuel injectors?

Your computer. If it is getting flooded you might want to check a couple of things, any codes come up on the diagnostic test?
