Please some one help my abs light is staying on and makeing weird noises and makeing it hard for me to push the brakes to the point i can stop.. i need to know a solution to the problem i have no idea what...

its hard to push the brake pedal because the abs pump is actuating. it is probably a faulty wheel speed sensor, which are located IN the wheel bearings. there are a few other causes for the problem you describe, but this seems to be the most common. CAREFULLY get it to a shop that can inspect the brakes and suspension/ a scanner that does abs should point them in the right direction.

My abs and handbrake light stay on every two days and off after in my honda civic 1500cc yr 2004.its a five door civic

This indicates you have an issue with your ABS control unit. ABS is a system that "pumps" the brakes in rapid succession to prevent wheel lockup during an emergency start. A common cause of sliding in wet weather, etc. To do this a computer control module uses plungers to open and close the brake fluid flow to the brake in miliseconds..so while you are pressing on brake pedal hard... the system is actually applying and releasing the brake in rapid succession (miliseconds) to prevent skid, etc. When teh computer module goes bad the ABS and Parking brake light will stay illuminated. There shoudl be an ABS fuse in your vehicle (please refer to your manual) that can be removed. Remove this fuse and check it for dirt, blown, cracks, or corosion. Replace the fuse and listen with the motor off if you hear a hum noise this would indicate the motor is running continuously for the brakes and is another indicator of a bad control. With the fuse removed both lights should stay continuously lit. If the motor is running continuously this can blow the ABS motor.. your brake system will still function with the fuse removed, but test it with a slow roll (no gas hand pushed car) The ABS controller is quite pricey to replace in the vehicle and should be referred to a licensed facility such as a dealer. YES dealers are high but to have this job done properly you need to have the vehicle raised on a platform. Your local brake shop, muffler shop, shadetree wont be able to do this control repair properly.

you may have a ABS problem. I would drive it and attemp to skid the tires an dsee if the pump activates. sometimes this will unstick any valves inside the ABS unit. you may need to have a qualified repair shop check deeper. the ABS will have a code, and a scanner will be needed to check further.

ABS light and brake light stay on modt of the time. Brake pedal hard to push on occasion then releases and works fine.

i am guessing the truck is a 4 wheel drive... if that is the case, check your front wheel bearings. most vehicles that now use a hub and bearing assembly with built in ABS are common issues and easy repairs on MOST VEHICLES.

2007 Dodge Caravan ABS light stays on after

Common issue when a wheel sensor gets faulty. On every wheel there is a sensor which informs the ABS system about wheel speed. If any of them is broken then the ABS system locks up and you get the warning light. In this case your brakes are working just as fine but you dont have ABS so wheels can block when you push the brake hard enough.Trouble code reader can tell you which one is faulty.

Fixing brakes

you have a abs fault considering the year I of the van I would remove abs fuse or unplug the moduale to disaable it. the humming that you are hearing is the abs dumping pressure due to a false reading from one of the sensors or the moduale if you want to spend the money to make the abs work you will have to take it to a shop and have them hook up a computer to retreive the codes to diagnois the problem. keep in mind that with the abs dissabled the wheels will lock up when braking hard or slick roads let me know how you make out

2001 chevy s10 blazer abs light stays .

The abs is a add on for the brakes that when the tires come into a skid or slid they wont lock up..Your brakes will still work great with the abs disabled but your brakes will lock up if you push on the brakes hard enough to stop.Mainly abs works in slippery conditions not letting the tires lock up and keep the car rolling instead of making it slide..But no effect of the brakes will happen..Just make sure your fluid is full and there are no leaks and if you want to get them check you can stop by your local Auto Zone and they will scan your car for free and tell you what sensor is bad..I hope this was helpful to you...Have a great night

1996 S-10 abs light stays on ,back right wheel

You have to check the caliper for the wheel that is locking up. It is probably stuck. Jack up the truck and see if the wheel turns. If it turn hard are not at all then take the brake caliper and try to turn it back in. If the caliper has natches on the cup then they need to be turned in. If they are flat then they can be pushed in.
