You have to input the the 5-digit factory code then press the 1-2 button. Input your new code and the locks will cycle to verify the code. You can further test the code by inputing it then pressing the 3-4 button to unlock all of the doors, pressing the 5-6 button to open the liftgate glass, or pressing the 7-8 and 9-0 buttons simultaneously to lock all of the doors.

If you do not know the factory code, you can find it on the computer module located behind a section of trim near the passenger rear door. To see the module, open the door and fold down seat. Carefully remove the plastic trim section at the seatbelt height adjust. You should see a green connector behind the trim. In the next trim section below this, you will find the module. Carefully loosen but do not remove the trim starting at the door. You do not have to remove the entire trim section to see the module. The module will have an alpha-numeric number such as 5X98E-00F4-HA001 and a 5-digit number printed on the label. The 5-digit number is your factory code. Snap all of the trim back into place in reverse order and you should be good to go.

Door is loked on rear driver side want open

Won't open from outside? Won't open from inside? Equipped with power door locks? IF so, and won't open inside/outside, suspect stuck power door lock actuator. Sometimes working the lock/unlock button will make the door unlock. If not, the door will require disassembly from inside to determine what the failure may be. If the door needs disassembly while in the closed position, the paneling/clips may get damaged FYI

Opening the drivers door doesnt automatically open the passangers door

Some vehicle locking systems allow a single button press to unlock the driver's side door and require a second button press to unlock the passenger side door. Likewise, use of the key to unlock the driver's side door does not automatically unlock the passenger side.

Drivers Door window/lock/trunk controls not working even though I replaced the Drivers door Wiring Harness

harness usually does not cause trouble because they do'nt move at all, check actuators if the are working, does it work remotely, test if passenger side control works if it does it would just be the driver side control trouble, replace

2006 passat drivers side door locks wont open from outside when unlocked using fob

It sounds like you might have two door latches that are faulty.... But you can try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and reconnect to see if that solves it. Sometimes VW's need their memory reset, have seen weird problems happen and this fixes it a lot of the time.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

My door locks won't work. They aren't working with the remote or the switch in the car. I can manually push them down, but even using the key in the door only unlocks the driver side.

In drivers side is damaged the driving motor for central doors locking. When is not works other doors also do not work! Try to unlock the car from the passenger side and you will see that the door is open all outside the driver's door! So you know that there is a problem!

Reset the combination lock

You have to get the code off the ecm(under the dash on the driver side) it will be a five digit code larger than any other numbers printed on the ecm. Then enter the code, the door should unlock, then press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds. Then you can reprogram a new code.
