Mighty be your heater coil or your thermostat is not opening up to circulate antifreeze also could be low on antifreeze. Is the truck still running at normal temp?

Replace 02 heater circuit sensor 96 blazer

The O2 sensor is on the exhaust manifold under the vehicle. Single wire with a plug. Unplug it, unscrew it reverse procedure. If you cannot break it loose use a little heat carefully from a torch. When you put the new one back in use a little antiseize compound on the threads. make sure its tight but don't over tighten.

96 Blazer Overheating

Yes the issue is most likely an air block, jack the front of the truck up as far as you can, fill the recovery bottle and run the engine for about 10 min, then shut down and run cold water over the radiator, this should purge the air, recheck the recovery tank and refill as ness.

Heater problem

I had one of these at my shop recently and I fixed it by replacing the heater control panel. I went for the resistor first with a known good one and it didn't take care of it. I bought a new heater control panel and that took care of the problem.

Heater problem

do you have the correct thermostat in the vehicle? it is possible that the blower motor and or it's controls are going bad. if you have a cooler themostat in the car the heat will be less hot because it circulates more frequently and does not get as hot as it would with a hotter / correct thermostat.
