2008 Ranger cools ok , but no heat .

The temp knob has a vacuum switch on it. A vacuum line goes from the intake manifold to the control. When you turn to cold, the vacuum switch sends vacuum to the valve to close and shut off heater core.

Ac works no heat

Could be problem with temp door? Do the heater hoses get hot? Does the engine reach normal operating temp? if not, check your thermostat. Can you check coolant flow through heater core? All I can do is list some possibilities.

No heat but a/c ok

Either your heater blend door is stuck or the vacuum line to the blend door has fallen off.
Was your heater working before? It is possible that the heater core was bypassed due to a leak (not uncommon in Ford products).

2008 Ford Ranger heater blows cold air regardless of thermostat position.

Several things can cause a no heat condition. Try this - After the engine is warmed up turn on the heater and place you hand on the two heater hoses (CAUTION THEY WILL BE HOT)- if one is hotter than the other you may have a clogged heater core. The problem could also be as simple as the heat door not opening under the dash.

2008 ford ranger. antifreeze is coming in and out of heater core, fans works, diverter works from floor to defrost etc however no heat

check the hoses going into heater core. are they hot with heater on! if not make sure you have a proper amount of coolant in it. if coolant is ok and all is fine. change thermostat. good-day ! if hoses are not hot its a possibility, that the thermostat is sticking closed and not letting hot coolant through system.

The fan works, air conditioning works, but the air wont heat up(knob turns to hot on thermostat). is it a vacuum hose problem, and how do we get to it?

The most common cause of this in the Ranger and the Explorer is that a part called the air temeperature control blend door acuator or the blend door shaft that the electric actuator moves has broken, this door is what shuttles between the heater core and the AC core and provides either heated or cooled air, or a blend of the two hot and cold air streams.

My 2008 Ford Ranger's heater is blowing cool air and not heating. What could the problem be?

In my case was the Temperature Blend Door Actuator (electric motor inside is weak) this is very usual in Ford Ranger 2008. For all models part Number 19E616 AA.
1. Open the Gloves Box all the way down (is very simple, you will see it).
2. A white little box in front of you with a electric connector. That is the part to replace (see pic below).
3. Only 3 screws 5/16" and the electric connector (with a clip) The access is bad to the back screw, but I did it in like 2 hrs. Ford Dealer is going to charge you 6.3 hrs. because they remove the air bag.

Use a Combination Wrench (small) and a Roto Ratchet (small) this is all you need and lots of patience. You will get tired just rest and try little later.

Good luck.

No heat in cab in ford ranger 2005 tied heater

check if both heater hoses going into firewall are hot.. if only one is hot then your heater core is stopped can take both lines loose and take a water hose and back flush,,, force hose on one inlet of heater core for a minute and then the other.. keep going to you get a good flow...make sure heater valve is open, not just valve position take loose and confirm clear..last make sure your thermostat is not stuck open keeping engine from comming up to temperature
