Long cranking before starting 2003 Duramax 6.6 diesel. Tested Glow Plugs, replaced two, others were good. Feplaced fuel filter and o rings. Still have problem.

this indicates several problems
low cranking speeds ---diesels have to crank at full speed
worn engine -- compression is not high enough to ignite the fuel
bad injectors ---squirting and not atomizing
the cheapest fix-- is to load test the battery and ensure that it has the capacity to spin the engine quickly
next is to have the injectors serviced and set properly
lastlt is to have a compression test done to check ring condition

I put a alternator on now it wont crank, jus spin over

Ok , what type of toyota and type of engine, year too would help.
When you say it spins over is the starter motor making noise but the motor does not turn? Cranking and spin over are the same terms of words. Cheers

Why is it cranking but wont turn over?

You mean starter spin, but engine doesn't...?
If so. Broken starter or flywheel.

I replaced the starter it does spin but it is not cranking my engine at all!

The bendix spring could be weak on the starter, or you have teeth missing from the flywheel, or torque convertor. Is this a new starter?

My 2000 a6 audi will not automatically start and my battery is full. when i jump it, it starts ok

The battery might have a full charge but does it have a bad cell in it. Have it tested to make sure it is not defective.

Car will not crank

Check battery voltage should be 12v. Have battery load tested. If good recharge, then with a voltmeter across battery terminals try to start engine. If battery voltage drops below 9.5v starter has failed.

Cranks but wont start stability control light comes on

OK.....sounds like its flooded thats all......Put the battery on charge to ensure its fully charged,Un clip the top of the air filter housing so it is loose and you can see the filter. put your foot to the floor on the accelerator pedal and crank the engine, keep it cranking and cranking until it actually fires up,even when its trying to and it sounds to have fired up,wait until it actually starts to rev up then stop cranking and release the pedal,it may pop and bang through the air filter pipework and it also may smoke at first but once its warmed up a bit take it for a spin. The stability control light will come on because of a drop in battery voltage and should go out when its started up....hope that helps
