How to remove a manual window winder from a 1997 mitsubishi magna sedan

There is a spring clip (kinda like a c-clip) underneath the crank handle, holding it fast to the stub shaft it sits on. There is a special hand tool made for window crank handle removal-a couple of dollars should buy one. But you can also use a rag to get the handle off. Slip the rag underneath the edge of the crank handle, get it between the handle and the door panel, and saw the rag back and forth under the handle. The rag will catch the ends of the c-clip and push them back so the handle can be removed. You may have to slip the rag around the handle till you catch the ends of the spring clip.

How do remove the window crank so i can remove the door panel?

There is a little clip behind the crank where it goes thru the panel. the clip looks like a "C" shaped clip..you'll need a small pick or screwdriver to pop it out..there is a tool specially made for this and can be rented fron autozone...once the clip is off crank pulls right off...when re-installing..put clip back on the crank , place crank over shaft, and press on till you hear it click.......ps..be careful as to not lose the clip...it's spring loaded and may go flying when you pop it off...if you do lose it they are readily available

How do I remove the driver's door panel from my 1996 Toyota Tercel. I can't get the window crank off so I can remove the panel.

You will need a window crank removal tool to get the crank off. There is a clip on or behind the handle that the tool helps you expand to remove the crank. It's usually available at most auto parts stores for under $10.

The rar view mirror fell off. How do i put it back on

There are a few products sold at Autoparts stores. If you can find 3M brand or a brand with an activator, they seem to work best.

You need to do several things to prepare for the job. First, get some tape and outline the old mounting position from the outside of the windshield. Then clean the inside surface of the glass.

You want to separate the mounting clip from the mirror stem. Usually there is an Allen screw in the clip. Sometimes the clips have a spring underneath that needs to be pushed down to allow the mirror stem to slide off. Note the position of the clip, if the narrow end is up or down and then glue the clip to the glass in the same direction.

After the clip has had time to adhere, slide the mirror stem into the clip, tighten the Allen screw and you are done. You will have to HOLD the clip against the glass for at least 2 minutes when you are glueing it.

Or you can go to a Glass Installer and they can do it.

1995 Dodge Dakota> Removing door panel. Can't remove Window knob.. have to replace locks(both sides)....easiest steps to replacing the locks??

Their are two options on removing the door crank-one the base of the crank top comes off where it is connected to the panel and if you pry slight with a thin tool it will expose where you can remove with either a torx or a nut driver-second option you must slip in door panel clip removal tool to relase the spring clip-these fly if you don't keep be careful. clip tools are at most auto parts store-by slighty spreading the door crank look down and you will see spring clip.Note it's either nut removal or spring removal.

How do you get the right side door interior panel off

The handle slides over the window crankshaft and uses splines to match the window crank shaft splines as to avoid slippage. It's held in place with a simple open ended spring clip that snaps onto the handle. To remove the spring clip you can use or purchase a window handle removal tool or use a small pick bent at 90 deg. The clip is located between the handle and the door panel. Using your fingers or a soft tool, spread the handle and door panel away from each other and look between the two to see the clip. With the pick, get under the clip and pull it outward and it will pop off over the window regulator shaft and handle.
Good luck, let me know.

Sensor

There are spring tabs on the inboard side(engine side) of the reservior that are part of the sensor and you have to squeeze together in order to slide the sensor out. The springs run up and down as compared to the master cylinder. Good Luck
