SOURCE: 1984 ford 2.8L stalls and runs rough when warm

check the idle control valve/solenoid by the throttle cable to see if its moving, if not I suspect that's your problem.

SOURCE: what is the firing order for a 1984 ford bronco 2

1-4-2-5-3-6
Now you need to know which cylinder is which. If you stand at the front of the truck looking at the engine, the number 1 cylinder is on the left closest to you. The left bank has cylinders 1-3-5 and the right bank has 2-4-6. So number 1 is at the left front and number 6 is at the right rear.

Fuse panel and fuse identification-Ranger/Bronco II (clic for zoom)

Power Distribution Box
Located under the hood, inthe engine compartment. It houses the fuses and relays for most of theunder hood components which are not controlled by a dash mounted switch(such as the alternator, fuel pump, ECM, etc.). The fuses and relaysare replaced in the same manner as the fuse panel inside the vehicle. The power distribution box cover is hinged on one end and utilizes aretaining latch on the other. Simply release the latch and lift thecover up to gain access to the fuses and relays.

Good luck (remember rated this help).

SOURCE: where is fuel pump relay on 1988 Ford Bronco II

Just replaced both fuel pumps, fuel filter, battery, and the ignition control modal, but bronco still wont start. also pushed the restart button. But nothing, acts like it wants to start but there is no gas going to the motor. Doesn't seem as if there is any gas flowing throw the lines. What do I do now or what is my next step.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1984 ford bronco II 2.8l

If you go to the fuel pump in the front left side of the block you will see it screwed into the fitting on the pump with the other side the fuel line inlet from the tank spray the line in fitting with liquid wrench 2 or 3 times to make sure it is clean and lightly wire brush away corrosion and dirt to make sure that only the fitting turns and not the whole line when using wrenches one on the end of the filter fitting the other on the fuel line depending on how long that filter has been there you may have to saturate it a good amount and let it soak for up.to an hour or more once you are able to loosen the fitting only turning not the line twisting remove it then remove the filter use grease or antiseize lubricant on the new filter threads and tighten the filter housing into the pump if there is rtv sealant already on the threads you can put extra rtv to make sure it seals tight with no leaks without grease now go to the line fitting with some steel wool lightly rub away any dirt and corrosion you see and inspect the line for stability and conformity if it looks rusty it must be changed if not after cleaning put rtv silicone on the threads of the fitting and put grease on the line side of the fitting then slide it forward and install it into the fuel pump after tightening try to get as much grease around the line and push it into the fitting this will keep it from rusting and twisting on the next change of the filter that's it good luck stephen

Transfer case oil level

The oil specification for the transfer case in a 1984 Ford Bronco II is "Automatic Transmission Fluid, DEXRON II"

DEXRON II is pretty hard to find these days, so DEXRON III or MERCON III can also be used.

I have a 1984 Ford Bronco with a carb. The carb is not getting any gas to it... I think it may be the fuel pump but not sure... It has a 351 HO. Is there a fuel pump in the tank that needs to be replaced...

You have a external fuel pump even if you have 2 fuel tank you are equipt with one pump. Its location is underneath the driver side along the framecansmo_183.gif

What carburator is stock for 1984 ford bronco 2 2.8 liter

http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/carb-2-8-l-v6-1984-ford-bronco-ii-132065.html

according to the site, a <350cfm holley carb should fit right on the motor and give you no problems, this will provide some reliability and tunability as well as aftermarket support for your application compared to factory, they should be very easy carbs to find used on ebay and such

1984 bronco 2-runs 15 min shuts down wont start again for 20 runs

If the fuel filter is dirty it will settle when you turn the truck off. When it runs for a few minutes the debris in the filter will get sucked into the screen and stop the fuel from getting through. If it was a starter or coil, it would not start at all.
