Question about 1998 Ford Ranger SuperCab
Sounds like you have 2 different problems, first the cold miss is most likely the upper intake gaskets...they are just rubber seals in all actuality and is very common problem on the 4.0 ltr (im guessing thats whats in it) and the miss or skip at highway speed sounds like a possible tune up problem or a dirty mass air flow sensor,if it turns out that it is not either of these...when started in the morning and when its still missing...shut it off quickly and pull the spark plugs and look for a wet one and see if it smells like antifreeze..if so..then it might be a possible internal head gsket leak,i have run across that a few times, hope this helps, any questions? feel free to e mail me back
