Is a BWD by engine management technology css1 an aftermarket part for a 1992 Buick Lasbre 3800

That would be an aftermarket part. Although I am sure that Standard Motor Products, parent company of BWD or (Borg Warner Division) probably makes some OEM items, if it is labeled BWD it is from the aftermarket parts division.

Just bought a BWD speed sensor for my 1993 Dodge d150. It came with a new wiring harness. Do i have to change it? The old sensor was working fine just leaked fluid everywhere.

i had same problem same truck. the fix is do not use the bwd or any other aftermarket speed sensor!! they will all leak, dodge came out with the upgraded one with internal seals to stop this in late 1993,cause too many were leaking. the upgraded part# is 5013660aa,it has a white colored inside body your original is all black, that is why you have to change the little wir harness they give you. look this up will help you also (TSB 21-14-94).
this up grade was only done by dodge so all the aftermarket ones are junk.
