Question about 2000 Isuzu Rodeo

Only making a clicking noise when trying to start vehicle. After 10 minutes when the car finally starts, I get an error that says reduced power and I can only get up to 35 mph.

It's probably a problem with your alternator or battery, the clicking noise is your engine struggling to get the power needed from your battery so it can start, the low power level most likely means your alternator is bad, which would mean it's not putting any significant amount of electricity into your battery, causing the clicking and other problems. So my suggestion is take it to a mechanic and get a new alternator, if that doesn't help then get a system check, which will run 50-85 dollars usually, but then you'll know any problems and where they're coming from.

My 02 envoy will start some times and then sometimes it won't I have all power but will not start.even try putting it in neutral no clicking when trying to start all the power comes on after trying over...

it certainly sounds like it is the ignition switch I would take it to a dealer tho as airbags and computers dislike us in these newer vehicles

Does your vehicle have a theft deterent system? If so, that could be malfunctioning. It takes 10 minutes to reset this system with the key on.

if anti theft module not communication with scanner or diagnostic hook up then your vehicle will probably not start till thats corrected and clicking sounds like relay from security system opening up and shutting down power for starting system

Car squeals when AC is turned on for first 10-15 minutes.

The Belt of the a/c to the solenoid pulley is creating the noise.
So while the care makes the noise pour some water into the belt and the noise will subside. the it is confirmed.
Stop the engine and check for play in the belt if so tighten the belt If not use some chalk power or candle wax to be rrubbed into the belt that was making the noise - the a/c drive belt - .
Now start and check . the nosie would be reduced or gone.
Replace the belt sooner or later.

When I turn my aviator on, it makes a clicking sound underneath the engine. buut when it warms up it stops

I will try to help. Noises are hard to diagnose online because a "pop" to one person is a "boom" to another. I think the best way to locate this noise would be to raise the car on a lift and let it set overnight and then start it the next day. The inspection time will be short, until the parts warm up. You can also try to drive the vehicle on ramps, leave it until the next day and then crawl under the vehicle before someone starts it. Again you will have limited time to inspect.

There is one thing to try before lifting the vehicle. In the rear cargo area there is an ON/OFF switch for the Airride. Turn it off, roll down the window and start your car. If the noise is gone, you have a noisy Airride relay. There are scanners for the Airride and you need it diagnosed.

If turning off the Airride had no effect, restore power to it and then start with a cold engine again. Open the hood and have someone start the car while you look at the A/C clutch and listen for your clicking noise. Sometimes when your A/C gets low on Freon the initial start will make the A/C clutch cycle frequently until it catches up. Charge the system to remedy this.

Your exhaust system will make clicking noises sometimes when a gasket called a "donut" (in shop terms ) is worn. The Catalytic converters will also make noise due to heat expansion. The heat shields for the converters can also make noise. Aside from loose welds there is no sure cure for this.

Finally, the engine parts like valve lifters and "Cam phasers" can do this and transmit the sound under the car. This is a problem which a Dealer can help with because there is an extended Warranty for "Cam Phasers". Usually the Phasers do not quieten down under 2000RPM warm or cold. I hope this helps you find your problem.

My saturn sl2 alarm starts to beep when I try to start the car and won't stop for about a minute. Car won't start. My power locks have been disabled(over a year now). It started acting strangely and...

This sounds somewhat similar to a problem I had with my 1999 Saturn SL2. There was "burning and arching" on the fusebox and it was replaced. The first few times my car would make an extra beep noise when locked or unlocked and I believe the radio/clock had to be reset. The problem got worse although sporadic. Eventually the car wouldn't start - not even making a clicking noise and a big variety of electrical components would not work or didn't sound right.

Vehical makes noise from the power steering, but

Try to bleed all air from the power steering system:raise the front of the vehicle off the ground just until the tires are off the ground,start the engine,make sure the fluid is at the proper level,while engine is idleing turn the steering wheel from lock to lock in both directions( do not hold at full lock for more than a second) repeatedly,at a average turning speed back and forth about 10 to 15 times,shut engine off, lower vehicle,check fluid level once again,take out for test drive for at least 10 to 15 minutes,if noise is still present then it's time to replace the power steering pump.Good luck!

It might be a faulty power steering pump. Try checking the level of the power steering fluid. It is probably best you have your power steering system checked by a mechanic.

Does the noise occur only when the vehicle is moving?

Try moving the steering wheel from side to side, while stationary (but don't do it too often, or you might damage something). If the noise is still present when the car is stationary, then it probably is the power steering system.

If the noise only occurs while the vehicle is moving, it could be a problem with the differential/final drive, or even wheel bearings.
