Question about Jaguar S-Type
The alternator gets 12 volts from the ECU to excite the alternator. More than likely, if the alternator tested good. Check the small blue wire going to the alternator with the key in the on position. You should have at least 12 volts there.
The airbag light is on because there is a sensor that is showing a malfunction. And saying that the airbag is disabled. If anything goes wrong with the airbag circuit then it disables the airbag to keep it from popping out while driving. You will have to get the diagnostics ran to find out what sensor is causing the light.
