You may have gotten the wrong pump. Some are reverse rotation, depending on your belt routing. Remove the thermostat and see if the coolant is flowing in the PROPER direction.

My 2006 Nissan sentra will not put out heat. I replaced the thermostat and no difference. I removed the heater hoses from the block and ran the engine. Water just trickled from the hose. What am I missing?...

The first thing I would do is drain all of the fluid from the cooling system (check to see if there is an engine block drain and open that too) and replace it with water. Turn the temperature setting to full hot and run the car. Leave the radiator cap off when you do this since the fluid level will go down as the car warms up. Add more water as necessary. Now does the temperature gauge on the dash reach the middle setting? Any heat coming from inside the car? Listen to the engine do you hear any noise from the belt side? Possibly a bad water pump? Turn the car off and let it cool down for about thirty minutes. Drain the water out of the radiator (you can remove the lower radiator hose if necessary) and engine block. Notice any sludge coming out in the water? Close off all the drain cocks. Now start the car and add water to the radiator and start the process all over again. The car must be running as you add the cold water to a slightly hot engine to keep the engine block from cracking. Let the car run, watch the temperature gauge, keeping filling the radiator, check for heat inside. Any better? Wait for the temperature gauge to hit the middle point between hot and cold (normal running position). Any heat on the inside? Turn the car off and let it cool again for about thirty minutes. If there is no change then let it cool off for about an hour (engine cool to the touch) and drain the system again. Pull off the hoses that go from the engine block to the firewall (heater hoses). Turn on your garden hose and place it over one of those heater hose openings. Do not turn the water on full blast you may have a leak in the car and I don\'t want you to have a flood. How much water comes out from the other hose (be careful it could be hot)? I have even blown air through one of these hoses to get any water out of the heater core. It sounds to me like you may have some sort of blockage in your cooling system. When you pull off the heater hoses take out the thermostat again and put the garden hose in the engine block to get water flowing through the entire system (all drains and hoses are off to allow the most flow). When was the water pump changed on the car? One other thing that is critical is the possibility of a regulator valve inside the car connected to the temperature setting on the dash. Some cars today do not have any way to regulate the water going through the heater core (flows freely) but if your car has one of these valves it could be bad (frozen shut). Once everything is working correctly remember to fill the cooling system with 50% distilled water / 50% anti-freeze solution.

How do you unclog heater core in a 2001chysler sebring

If the core is clogged because of particles and corrosion you may just want to replace it. You will have to unhook the two water hoses to the core and backflush the core and that shjould push the stuff back out the inlet hose. The two lines are the ones on the back of the engine firewall.

Radator will not fill all the way need to know which bleeder value to do first the one on the thermastat housing are the one that goes to the heater core.these will help in filling the radator completely

do the one to the heater core first. im not an expert on chevy by any means but your heater core helps radiate heat if your vehicle is overheating thus in a way making it a secondary radiator.... see the thermostat is where water builds and is held till the thermostat temp is acheived thus flowing back into the radiator so that would be the last place to check in your list. you want to go in the direction of your flow. maybe start your engine cold and remove radiator cap and fill with engine running so you help prevent vapor lock plus you fill it completelyand when water heats up you can see just how full you really are. hope this helps you a lil bit

Yes it is normal just no hot air

1. When setting the temperature to MAX, blower level to FULL and outside air Vent CLOSED, no hot air comes out after 2-5 minutes?
If YES, when did you last flushed your radiator and is it full?
2. if more than 5 years ago, flush radiator system, instructions are usually in Owners manual. Use a bottle of Radiator cleaner, run egine hot for about 10-15 minutes, carefully open petcock in bottom of radiator to flush out radiator, WARNING, careful as flushed coolant would be boiling hot. As sson petcock is open and water start to flow out, carefully open radiator cap to enhance flushing flow. Use garden hose to fill radiator while flushing until water coming out from petcock is cold and clear.
Once clear, start engine, turn heter full and blower full blast and keep hose in radiator flowing full, leave petcock open until clear water flows out again. Once clear waters comes out, turn off engine,turn off garden hose and let water drain empty radiator. Once it stops flowing out, close petcock snug and put radiator cap on, pull off radiator coolant catch bottle, clean bottle for any debris and dirt. Drain any water, leave bottle empty and put it back onto its place.
3. Fill radiator with 1 gallon (4L) of concentrated coolant, top up radiator until full, fill catch bottle with concentrated coolant, start engine and keep it overflowing until no bubbles comes out and the radiator is fully hot. Once it is flowing good, close and connect everything. Drive with it and keep catch bottle filled as necessarry.

Or maybe an undercharge situation.

What really helped my car that you could do on your own and probably needs it would be to flush out the heater core in both directions. Buy a plastic heater core flush valve at kmart or somewhere and just cut the line and hook it up also has a bleeder on them that will allow you to get all the air out. I've never bought one but seen one at kmart and would have bought if done over again. Go ahead and also do a coolant flush. Most shops don't do heater core flushes. I didn't run a flusher chemical in my radiator but that may not be a bad idea to run in your car for a while before you flush out your system. Couldn't hurt. Recommending flushing in both directions inlet and outlet of your heater core hoses located middle of firewall back of engine passenger side until water runs clear. Have your car running with heat on high as the garden hose water is flowing through and lower radiator hose is disconnected. Tip: Qty for coolant in your car is appx 14 quarts. So add 100% concentrate after your done flushing w/ garden hose and everything is drained as best as can be. Your engine will still have 100% water in there as all the engine passages and tunnels are unable to drain unless maybe you put some air pressure to it. So add 1 1/2 gallons (6qts) of 100% coolant or two gallons if its really cold. Yeah two gallons 8qts max. I doubt that you will even be able to put that much in before it over flows. So that way you know your capacity and you know whats in there is water and what your adding is mixing it 50/50 So after you put your 6-8 quarts of straight 100% yellow or green coolant in fill the remaining up with water. Could blow out all water with air pressure and mix with distilled or whatever (metal free) water if your real picky or have irony well water. Also recommended fill-up after your done connecting all your hoses is the upper radiator hose thermostat housing located top left (driver side) of radiator on the engine side of the hose. I would remove the thermostat housing on engine side upper radiator hose and replace thermostat and not buy the gasket unless really really bad. Rubber is forgiving. And costs almost as much as the thermostat. Anyways you must fill from that location by removing thermostat and pouring coolant there until full. I remember removing something to have better access to one bolt on thermostat housing just to make hob a bit easier. My rule of thumb is if you have to work just as long taking a hard to get bolt off as removing something in the way, just remove it. Usually saves time in the long run. Finish by replacing thermostat or not and use same gasket and button up. Fill reservoir, check for leaks, start car, check for leaks, drive a bit and fill reservoir afterward and check for leaks. Hose clamps should only be tightened till they are just below level of the rubber. Until it seems the rubber is just skimming over slightly. Over tighten and you will greatly reduce the life of your hoses and probably cause the leak yourself. Hope this helps Thanks

hi jasso, I would recommend checking the water pump if you see no flow in the radiator. Make sure when you fill up the cooling system, that you fill it cold, and that the vent screw in the radiator is loose. fill system until fluid comes out the vent screw. tighten the screw, start the car and have someone run at 1500rpm and check for flow.also, make sure that you have your temp setting full hot and blower on middle speed so that you don't trap air in the heater core.

Loosing antifreeze

air in your hoses from the flush.

To Fix:
(you'll need more anitfreeze)
turn on engine, open radiator cap.
squeeze hoses, bottom one first, to releive pressure/air in your hoses.
Notice the level dropping in the radiator cap hole.
Once you seen the fluid level drop, add more anitfeeze, directly to the hole.
Once hole is filled to the top, replace radiator cap, and drive.
