Do you have power going into the coil? Check Crank sensor, its right between the bellhousing and the right hand exhaust header right above were the Y pipe bolts up.

Here's a no-start troubleshooting guide to help you run down your spark issues. Hopefully that will help you narrow the field of possibilities.

Hope this helps (remember to rate this answer) Good luck.

How much should fuel pressure reach

This is usually a fuel injection issue with these vehicles. (i.e. ''The pressure won't be the problem''). They have problems with fuel related vacuum parts and the injectors themselves. The higher the mileage, the higher the likelihood of _both_ issues. // Note: Since the coil(s) are also known to go bad, you might check that first. The reason I mention it is because before vacuum and injectors ''give out'' they ''act up'' first. You should have had rough running engine problems before total failure. For that reason, check coil(s). Some Jaguar engines have two ''coil packs''. They _do_ drop dead. If you have two, one bad one is enough to stop it from starting. (i.e. ''check for spark on _all_ cylinders'').

What can be the problem on a bmw 533i 1982 that it dosnt have spark from the coil?

NEXIQ 125032 USB Link Software Diesel Truck Diagnose Interface
Cracked coil packs show symptoms particularly during cold and wet weather when moisture has entered the engine compartment. Cracked coil packs can cause a rough-running engine or a misfire at idle. Moisture that sits in the crevice of a crack on the coil pack will allow a spark (arc) to travel the length of the crack until it reaches a ground source, where it will cause a direct short. Electrical sparks jumping from a crack in the coil pack case accompanied by a loud electrical clicking or snapping sound indicate a cracked coil pack.

Shuts down for no apparent reason

Have you figured out if you are loosing spark or fuel pressure when the engine quits ? Could be a relay, coil, fuel pump, or various other electrical components.

Engine starts missing after it reaches operating temp

its hard to locate since you don't have any more info, but it could be the spark plugs, wires or coil. I would suspect the coil because the electrical resistance builds as heat increases

My 96 jeep grand cherokee keeps dieing when it gets hot

My first question would be, do you know if the cooling fan is coming on ? ?
The computer can shut down the engine if it reaches 250 or 260 degrees. You could also have a coil or other electrical part that is failing when hot.

I can't find spark plugs on my 2000 isuzu rodeo. Where you would expect them is an electrical connection but no plugs. It is a 6 cylinder. Does it have plugs and if so where are they?

The electrical connection goes to the coil pack. It is a box connected to a tube that reaches down to the spark plug. remove fasteners and pull coil pack out. The plug is located down in the hole

When do the spark plugs need changed

Spark plugs like any electrical device become worn over time. Spark plugs also work under extreme condition. The use of cheap fuels will leave deposits, poor maintenance, bad air filters, old plug wires, all these items can cause a spark plug to fail or not perform at its peak level. Also spark plugs use a gap or Electrical bridge that is used for high voltage to arc across. The larger the gap the hotter the spark until you reach a point that the coil can not bridge the gap and then you get a misfire. Also when a plug gets deposits from either oil, poor fuel, carbon this will shorten the gap and cause a weaker spark resulting in poor performance, wasted fuel and engine dieseling or Run on after the ignition is turned off.
These are the simple reasons for spark plug replacement.

Stays runing from point a to point b after that it wont start 2 h

I hate to tell you this but they are not fun to remove. Do not try this when the car is hot you will be burnt by the exhaust if you do! You have to reach up the backside of the engine and most of the work can only be done using one hand. Make sure you number your wires so you can put them back in the right place. If you mess up the factory coils have numbers on the most of the time and number one plug will be on left side, first plug, if you are facing the car. It’s hard to tell which wire you have when it goes behind the engine. You can have the coil checked at Autozone or Advance they should be able to help you with that! If for some reason they can’t post again and I can send the information needed to check them if you think you can do it yourself.

See Figure 1
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
3. Detach the assembly electrical connectors.
4. Tag and disconnect the spark plug wires.
5. Unfasten the three ignition coil assembly-to-block bolts, then remove the assembly from the engine.
Fig. 1: Exploded view of the ignition coil assembly - 2.2L (VIN 4) engine shown
To install:
6. Position the ignition coil assembly to the engine. Install the mounting bolts, then tighten to 15-22 ft. lbs. (20-30 Nm).
7. Connect the spark plug wires to the proper coils, as tagged during removal.
8. Attach the coil electrical connectors.
9. Carefully lower the vehicle, then connect the negative battery cable.

A 2.2 and a 2.0 are basically the same engine.
