Question about Dodge Nitro

TRIED TO START MY 2008 DODGE NITRO BUT IT JUST CLICKED, SO I CHECKED CONNECTIONS TO BATTERY AND THEY WERE TIGHT. GAVE IT A JUMP AND IT STARTED. I TOOK OFF POSITIVE CABLE WHILE RUNNING AND IT DIDNT DIE SO I FIGURED IT WAS A BAD BATTERY, AND GOT A NEW ONE. WORKED FINE UNTIL I TRIED TO START IT THE NEXT DAY AND ALL I GOT WAS A CLICK. WHAT SHOULD I CHECK AND HOW? I HAVE A MULTIMETER BUT DONT KNOW WHERE TO START.

Check the CHARGiNG SYSTEM testing the alternator by using ur multimeter, test the output of the alternator by putting the multi tester to DC VOLT at 50 volt, the voltmeter must register a 13volt to 14 V! STARTER problem did you try hammering your starter just to free up the armature? try it, let somebody start ur ignition while u hammer down the starter! If that don't work, you have to bring it to ur mechanic, there might be some problem in the ARMATURE BRUSH and the SOLENOiD!

2008 nissan rogue wont start. Had battery checked and recharged. Will start after jump. What is problem

Are you sure the battery is good and properly connected to cables? Low voltage connections are very prone to poor connections where the electricity does not have enough pressure to "jump" over obstacles.

Make sure that all battery connections are squeaky clean and tight.

Electrical problems. Start with battery. Condition? terminal corrosion? Charging system? will it jump start? if it will but dies when jumper cable is removed, charging system has problem.
Auto parts store can check battery, charging system read error codes. you may be able to find problem. If you check google I bet you are not the only one.

My truck just died at an intersection, i lost all lights and power. the truck would not crank over nothing. I waited an hour later and the lights came on and the truck tried to start but battery was too...

Did you try to jump the battery with another battery....if it starts, then even though your alternatir us good, perhaps your battery has just had enough...they do die eventually

03 Explorer (V8) clicked this morning when I tried to start it. Clicked several times, then only once. Got a jump which didn't work at first, then it did. Went to auto parts store, battery tested good....

I would clean terminals first. also check your solenoid connections. it is located on the firewall close to the battery. i have seen thease solenoids act up.
