Usually problems like that are fuel related like a stopped up filter or something next time it happens check your fuel pressure while it is broke down.

On my 95 Yukon, can a faulty i.c.m. cause a total no start situation? And when it died, it just stopped like someone just shut off a switch, and came home hooked to a tow truck.

It is possible, however check if the tachometer works when you crank the engine . if not, probably the crankshaft position sensed is inoperative.

2002 GMC Yukon XL 5.3 Cold start

What happens if you bring power directly to the starter solenoid? Will it crank then? You need to try to isolate the problem. If it will crank with direct power, the starter is NOT the issue. Let us know what you find.

Oil sending unit 2005 gmc yukon 5.3Lengine reads 80psi as soon as key is turned on and when started

Do you have a pre lube system hookesd up? It is a good thing to have pressure in system before cranking. It eliminates dry starts which are the biggest cause of engine wear.

My 2007 GMC Yukon will not start in cold weather. When I turn the key over the lights/dash controls come on, but the engine does not turn over at all. Nothing. Put a new battery in and still does it. It is a random occurance. Would not start for two days this week so I had it towed to the dealership and the next morning it starts without the service dept doing anything??? Bring it home and two days later it does it again??? Any ideas?

I have a 2004 gmc yukon when I try to start it it just cant kick over, the battery is fine it just cant get the final kick to start

Check the "knock sensors" under the intake manifold, notorious for water damage. Need to check the fuel pressure as well. Fuel pump could be bad. Has the "Service Engine Soon" been on at all? It's all a "**** shoot" without the proper testing equipment.
