Have a Honda Accord 2008 v6 chk engineer light on code iso 9141 meaning?

Trevor, I believe this is not a code, iso 9141 is communication protocol/ communication speed, When the scan tools make a connection to the OBD port it matches the communication speed at which your ECM communicates with the scan tool. If that is all you are seeing for a code and your engine light is on, try a different scan tool. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I have a 1990 accord, my fuel economy is low, a check engine light turn on, when i accelerate dark smoke comes out the back, any thoughts?

Yes hook up to a code reader pull out trouble codes and follow steps in trouble shooting tree to repair problem. If you dont have a code reader or scan tool go to a parts store (Auto Zone,Pep boys) they will hook up and read codes out. They will try to steer you in the direction to go or just write down the codes and Google them in your computer and you will get list after list of how to fix the problem.

Reasons for check engine light and maitence light on 03 honda accord

the check engine light comes on to tell you there is an issue with engine management. you will need to scan the computer with a code reader or scan tool to get the codes.

The maintenance light comes on to tell you you are do for an oil change.

Ck engine light 2002 honda accord

Hi.

If the CEL comes on, that means that a problem has been detected, and that there are codes stored in the car ECU (main computer module).

Go to the nearest garage and read codes to find what codes are stored. If you are in US go to the nearest Autozone and do code reading for free.

Alternatively codes can be retrieved using an OBD-II Code Reader / Scan Tool.

Regards.

Ginko.

It indicates a trouble code is being sent and a component on your Honda needs attention.

The easiest way to find out what's going on is take the car to your local auto parts store and ask them to run a scan of your OBD2 port.

They typically provide this service for free and will then tell you what codes come up and what they mean. Depending on the code, you may be able to fix the problem yourself or you may need to take it to a repair shop for repair.

1991 honda accord exr

Since the 91 model is obd1 there is no scan tool that can be hook up to it,but on the right kickpanel there is a two pin connector you can jump with a simple tool like a paper clip with the key on and the engine not running and this will cause the the mil to blink your code you will get a two different blinks a long one and a short one you combine both to get the code.example two long ones followed by one short is a code 21.

Check Engine light on!!!!!

its the O2 sensor for sure. normally, its good practice to change the sensor when changing out the muffler and cat system. doing it all together will prevent the sensor from faulting.
