Question about 1999 Ford Windstar

1 Answer

On my Ford Windstar, there is a small what seems to be electrice motor with linkage to each of the engine heads(?) where the fuel injectors go in. There is a small pivot that looks like it is connected to a throttle or something. Well the 2 linkage bars have fallen off. Each of these bars are about 3 inches long. I have no idea what the hell it even is ... Can some one tell me?

What could be the reason for a 2003 Ford windstar Sel fan isn't working unless the vent is running, and white smoke is coming from the exhaust pipe?

white exhaust is caused by either large amounts of water or fuel running through the engine,
1, an injector that is stuck open
2, water entering the cylinder through an intake or head gasket or a crack in the engine block, cylinder head, or the intake manifold

Have a ford ranger with 2.3L engine seems to be throwing a code saying that it is missing on cylinder 1. tryed replacing plugs, wires, coils, fuel filter, and fuel pump. tryed fuel pressure check. Any...

you might try a compression check see how it stacks up against the other cylinders and after you check it give the cylinder a small shot of motor oil through the spark plug port let it sit a couple minutes and see if it helps seal the rings if not look more towards the head/valves hope this helps

look your ignition coil over really good for cracks could be shorting to the engine. also use carb cleaner and spray your intake real good all over listen for a change in the sound of the motor for vacum leaks.

99 ford windstar (3.8)seems to misfire randomly when idling and can feel pulsations while driving

clean the MAF sensor first and also add some Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner to 1/4 tank of gas. You may have a dirty MAF or a partially plugged injector.
