Question about Ford Focus
Well.. I have the exact same problem and I am still trying to figure out what is causing it. So far I've tried: new spark plugs, fuel injectors, cam/crank sensors, ignition control module (I think.. my brother did the work). If you figure it out before you get rid of the hunk of junk let me know. I like not having a car payment and the gas mileage is better than my Jeep. =] btw - I will never buy a Ford again, while dealing with the herky jerky problem. I have also had the following go wrong: ignition wouldnt turn, clutch went out, and the trunk latch is on the fritz.

Tips for a great answer:

First, are you certain you changed the plug for number 1? If so, check the power connection to the COP. If it is dirty or loose that can cause a misfire also.
