Looks like your A/C actuator is malfunctioning and needs to be check out and adjust! The actuator functions to compensate the idling of your engine when you turn on the a/c system. it was powered by the vacuum, check the hose that might have been broken or disconnected. hope that might help u out! Taah!

I have a 2001 honda civic ex 1.7 liter, and when I have to brake suddenly the car idles down really low like its wanting to die. Is this the timing

I doubt it very much. The engine slowing down under brakes indicates that the gears are not down shifting in relation to the engine rpm and road speed. run fault codes and look for a TCM sensor problem

Check engine light and lost of power

This sounds a lot like a bad TDC (Top Dead Center) sensor. Of the many sensors on this model vehicle, the TDC sensor failure is common and is one of the few sensor failures that will disable your vehicle.

RPM is not stable.

adjust the RPM of the engine when the aircon is off that match the RPM of the engine when the aircon is on but not too much.
