Question about 1995 Dodge Dakota

I have a 95 dodge dakota with a 2.5 and five speed my speedometer does not work is it fused and where would the fuse be found

There is no fuse for the speedometer cable.
You ll have to replace the cable.

Google year & make of car for fuse panel fuse diagram. Do the fuse trick you did. If you notice any corrosion or caked gunk on fuse legs...replace fuse....If problem persists it's probably the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor which gives the vehicle speed to the speedometer.

Check your owners manual for fuse location. Most likely under the dash, drivers side.

Speedometer won't work


IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BROKEN WIRE LEADING TO SPEED SENSOR IN REAR DIFF..CHECK FOR ANY SPOTS IN HARNESS WHERE IT LOOKS OUT OF PLACE OR RUBBING ON SOMETHING..ALSO CHECK FOR SPREAD CONNECTIONS IN PLUG AT SENSOR..CHECK ALL FUSES RELATED TO ABS SYSTEM IN UNDERHOOD FUSE/RELAY CENTER

Speedometer no working on a 95 dodge dakota


Pull the drive cable out of the back of the speedo and try to turn it. If it turns you drive cog in the box is worn out and needs to be replaced.If it dose not turn your speedo needs to be replaiced.

Fuse placement


fuse #7 is the brake lamp fuse. It also operates the rear antilock brakes and the buzzers.
